I thought I'd try it, as she was waxing lyrical about it... BIG MISTAKE!Nothing wrong with the real thing though, I often do... but then again, I sometimes don't have any or enough spuds... Patf Posted February 14, 2006 Share Posted February 14, 2006 Bags of potatoes in supermarkets here have labels - "puree", "frites"and "vapeur." As well as the pink ones which are good baked or roasted.So I use the puree ones for mash and they are fine. And I assume thelocals do too. Pat.
