21 May national holiday

We are arriving in Bergerac on holiday on 21 May - we have read that this is a national holiday.  Can someone confirm if the hypermarkets will be open as usual this day?

Generally though:

Les dix jours fériés conventionnels, outre le 1er Mai, sont les suivants :

- 1er janvier ;

- lundi de Pâques ;

- 8 Mai ;

- Ascension ; (21 May this year)

- lundi de Pentecôte ;

- 14 Juillet ;

- Assomption ;

- Toussaint ;

- 11 Novembre ;

- Noël.

The supermarkets may well  be open but a lot of businesses and public offices, banks etc offices will not be open until the following Tuesday.  This a "pont" weekend which is a long weekend holiday and the roads will be very busy going south on Thursday.
