Hampton Court Flower Show

I've been a couple of times, if I remember rightly if it starts to get muddy they put down slats or mesh (can't remember which) sensible shoes would probably be a safe bet, I once spent a whole day at Malvern in wellies and my feet were not appreciative. !

PS In my experience the traffic getting there is challenging, best to go very early !

We went there today. It rained all morning. The RHS is quite well organised and were doing their best to dump wood chips on the quagmires that developed in the tents, but there was a fair bit of mud around - don't go in your best shoes! We had arranged to meet up with friends at the "green" car park but we ended up parking 1.5 miles away, near Hampton station and walking in - the previous 1.5 miles had taken us an hour to drive! Unless you are going very early, head for the Apps Court Farm (red) car park.

Regards

Pickles

If you were interested in Hampton Court may I recommend a couple of other things : Look out for Rare Plant fairs - small events but the opportunity to talk to the growers etc, and the RHS have a garden show in September at Wisley - excellent ....specialist suppliers (plants and seed) and again the chance to speak to specialist direct. Plus there is the opportunity to visit Wisley Garden Centre, gift shop and restaurant.
