Will Posted March 11, 2006 Share Posted March 11, 2006 As there is a shortage of volunteers and direct recommendations I suggest looking in the pages jaunes for an arboriculteur or a paysagiste (literally landscape gardener, but most look will cut trees, we've just had some round for a couple of days doing a job). Quillan Posted March 11, 2006 Share Posted March 11, 2006 Try the forestry department (Department de Floristier? wrong spelling but it gives you a hint) they did mine and they didn't charge much and they cut it up to half metre lengths for my fire as well. What does anyone else think? We are situated between Cognac and St Jean D'angely. I just need it cutting back as the chopping up we can do. aj_dr Posted March 12, 2006 Share Posted March 12, 2006 That sounds rather expensive.We had a quote from a registered Frenchperson to cut down 2 trees which where approx. 60ft and also to take out the tops of a row of tall conifers, his price was500Euros. He's at Matha, let me know if that's anywhere near you, We actually had the 2 trees taken down at the end of last year by anEnglish registered guy, he's coming back soon to lop the conifers, helives near Nere, his price was more or less the same.aj Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
