  1. Hi, I am a registered business seller on Ebay.fr To be able to do this you need to have your business registered in France as already explained. You then apply to be a business seller on Ebay.fr which invloves sending off all your ID and business registration papers etc to Germany. They then take a look at it all to check you are legitimate ie registered to pay your social contributions/taxes etc in France and off you go selling! It is fairly straight forward. Selling on Ebay incurs the Ebay listing fee, commission etc and any paypal fees. If you want a boutique you pay a fee each month depending on what you want etc. Maybe it would be a good idea if you haven't already to try and sell a few cards to see if there is a market out there for your product before going to the lengths of registering as business etc. Hope this helps.
  2. Hi, Thanks for the latest replies, I will try them.
  3. Thanks they were really helpful but it is 56 € per document so 392 € in total but as I have so much I may be eligible for a discount so better than the UK but I would need to make alot of train journeys and visit lots of places to see any return on my investment!! It just seems so crazy to have to get them translated. Funnily enough if I had only 2 children it would be easier as I would be eligible for a new card that the SNCF are now issuing and all I would need is my CAF attestation. But unfortunaely I cannot get the CAF attestation as I have too many children so am not eligible for this card and my CAF attestation isn't sufficient for the card I am applying for which is basically the same thing!
  4. Hi, Can somebody please help as I feel like I'm going crazy and banging my head against yet another brick wall!! I have applied for a carte familles nombreuses from the SNCF as I have 4 children and this will allow me cheaper entry to places and cheaper train fares etc as with 4 it gets very expensive. It has been refused as I need to get all the birth certificates and marriage certificate translated into French by an ambassador or the Embassy or consulate from the country concerned or an agreed translator!! I have telephoned the SNCF and pleaded my case stating that the passports are in French too but no that's not good enough as it needs to be the birth certificates! Ministry of transport rules and all that, rules are rules! I explained it had not been necessary for the school, CAF, tax or in registering our business but it fell on deaf ears!! I then thought oh well just get them translated! I called the British Embassy Paris who said they can't help phone the Ministry of Transport in France to provide you with a translator. I can't find who to call so I called the UK and to cut a long story short it is going to cost me £414!! Any ideas what I can do or shall I just give up??!!
  5. Hi, Thanks,  I had looked at that and also at www.montpellier.fr/uploads/Document/WEB_CHEMIN_3393_1208419060.pdf It is just too complicated for me to understand properly as there is alot to the document. I am trying to establish if someone who wants to build 10 houses next to the local Cemetery will be able to build them under these rules. Here's hoping not!!!!!!! Can anyone help????????please????????? Thanks.
  6. Hi, Does anyone know whether there is anything to prohibit someone building houses next to a Cemetery please?! I have searched the Internet and can find articles relating to a Permis within 100 metres of a Cemetery but to be honest I can't really understand what it is saying as to whether it is not allowed  at all or whether it can be over ruled???????? Anyone out there who can help please???? Thanks.
  7. Yes I definately wouldn't be able to keep track of the finances if it were all jumbled up! That is cheap for the account to run it as a personal account so I will enquire with my bank to set up another current account separate to the personal one. I just didn't know if you had to have a business one in France. Thanks for your reply.
  8. Hi, We are in the process as registering as an Enterprise Individuelle and are due to go on the course which will hopefully fill us in about how it all works! but can anyone help us out in the meantime please as to whether it is necessary to have a business bank account and if so can anyone recommend a bank please? Thanks.
  9.   Unfortunately the small print on the original form which is for the card wherever you apply states non French documents must be translated but thanks anyway.
  10. I totally agree! This is supposed to be a card that allows families to be able to afford to go places when the entry fee or train fare makes it very cost prohibitive when you have a large family. The amount of paperwork I had to send off was amazing, all these photos and a fee to then be told I need some of the documents officially translated which I will have to pay for. It seems crazy when I am trying to save money which is what the card is designed for! Sometimes it just really feels like it is another obstacle put in your way to put you off applying for things, however I will persist!!
  11. Hi, Has anyone applied for and been successful in receiving the SNCF Carte Famille Nombreuse? This is the card that if you have a large family allows you discounted rates at certain places or on trains. I have applied, sent off all the paperwork, photos, cheque for 18 euros to be told I need to get our marriage certificate and all the childrens birth certificates translated into French!! I have never had to have any of these translated before for anything else. Has anyone any experience of this or knows where I can get these translated at as it says it needs to be done by someone official!! Just another hurdle to jump!! Thanks.
  12. Thanks, have not come across that one before but it has some ones to start looking at, so thanks again.
  13. Hi, I am looking for a barn for renovation with future habitable space of around 200 m2 which can be over 2 floors. It needs to have land of around 1000 m2 and be within 10 kms of postcode 17770 and for around 50,000 euros! Thanks.
  14. Forgot to say it is definately a good idea to keep a copy of the article with your licence as it may save you having to argue your point or a trip to the Gendarmerie.
  15. Hi, We have been to the Gendarmerie with the necessary article which states that a full UK licence is valid in another EU country and there is no necessity to change it unless of course you want to. It was examined and then agreed that we were right however they did state they prefer UK licences to be changed over if you have been a French resident for more than 6 months!! Why bother?! It's just another form to fill in!! Thanks for your help again Clair.
