Yvonne Posted June 26, 2005 Share Posted June 26, 2005 Hi, Can anyone tell me if I can book an appointment with a dentist in France for a check up ( as I would have done in the UK every 6 months)? Or do I have to have something wrong? If I do book an appointment for a voluntary check up am I covered with the Carte Vitale and mutualitie? Thanks! Lori Posted June 26, 2005 Share Posted June 26, 2005 Yes, of course, you can make a regular check-up appt. You might have to wait a few weeks, but it is done all the time. As far as carte vital, we have private insurance (Americans), so we have a separate system. We pay him cash, 20 euros for a check-up with cleaning and turn it in to our private carrier. Ron Avery Posted June 26, 2005 Share Posted June 26, 2005 Just ring up a local dentist and ask for "un rendevous pour un contrôle, s'il vous plait"Depends where you are but there is no no reason why you need to wait, dentists are not that busy where I live.
