We desperately want to watch the BBC (preferably 1 and 2, but even just the BBC world service would be fine, we just want to watch the news basically, no other channels required).We are not English and have no address (or relatives/friends who could help) in the UK.How can we get BBC? Could we just go to our local 'dish' shop and ask the engineer to sort this out for us? I don't think this would be possible. All tips are welcome. We live in Dordogne, near Bergerac, so if anyone knows of a professional who could help us, let us know. We are not trying to save money, we just want to find out how it can be done. Thanks! You won't need a card and it will not be difficult to set up (even in Bergerac!).Get the equiment from your local "dish" supplier, or buy it from eBay UK (lots and lots available) - most UK suppliers will send it to France.Plenty of other information on this forum. Laotze Posted January 25, 2004 Share Posted January 25, 2004 We bought our dish and box at Bricoman - most DIY places sell them. BBC is on Astra 2 and instructions for finding it are in the enclosed booklet. It took us a while to find it but we got there in the end. If all you want is the news BBC World News is on Astra 1.
