Springer Spaniel female in danger

Diane is a six year old, born 2nd November 2003, Springer Spaniel in one of those huge pound/shelters in the north (Pas de Calais) because her owner died.

                 

There are so many dogs coming in, things have to move there.  Diane has been there since 27th May and is not one of the younger ones.  They won't keep her for much longer.

I can get her out (identified and vaccinated), but can someone offer her a new life, either permanent or temporary?  We would have to organise a covoiturage to wherever, just as long as someone could help her.

You don't know why, but some touch you more than others and Diane is one of them.

(I'm already getting two other little ones out, please help me with Diane).

She was taken in foster care and they are keeping her.

She looks just like one of the many dogs not 15 metres from me condemned to an existance of neglect on 3 square metres of crotte ridden broken concrete.

The family of cassoses get through dogs even quicker than they can push out children, each has its own pet to neglect, you see the eager puppies paraded on a lead for a week by all of the kids and then they join the remainder of the neglected ones.

As soon as one breaks (dies) then they buy a new one, sorry to make the comparison to a toy but thats all they are to these people. [:'(]

There are also loads of mangy and malnourished cats that roam, almost every week one gets scraped off the road outside my house and put out in the dustbins, recently I crossed a cat in the alleyway behind me with a very strange  comportment, it purred and came over to be stroked, it had lovely fur and was clearly well fed and looked after, I can say hand on heart (a troubled heart at that) that is the first time in over 5 years that I have seen what the decent people amongs us would call a normal, healthy cat. [:(]

I am not surprised to see that the Nord pas de Calais/Picardie has so many maltreated dogs in the shelters.

It is not just your area that has such ignorant people; I have my eye on a cat - at present under rétablissement in the local SPA - who was kept in an uncleaned rabbit hutch for 2+ years. She was fed though, but GOK* what with. She is suffering from muscle wastage, poor development, lack of socialisation, general mistrust and genuine fear - and I can't blame her.

*God only knows.
