Linnorton
Does anyone know how long car hirers in France need to have held a driving license for? Although my son is 35, he has only held his Eire driving license for a year and he would like to hire a car here in June. I know that when I've taken temporary cover in the UK, extra drivers need to have held a full UK license for 3 years but I have no idea what view car rental agencies in France take. Battypuss
I haven't a clue, but what about asking the AA/RAC or a major hire firm such as Hertz/Avis? They are bound to know!
Kevinmc
As long as it's over a year, he's in luck. With Avis, it's one year and I assume the other major players will be the same.

Buntina
All the major operators require 1 year minimum - also remember that the hire company will require a credit card to hire the car - not a debit card, and it should be in the drivers name.If you need anymore info on specific locations contact me
