Mayennaise
Does anyone know if there is anywhere in france where I can hire a car seat for a one year old?. I have noticed that the car rental companies at the airport have a room full. Do you think they will let me hire a seat but not the car??
Ford Anglia
I doubt they'd hire a seat without the car, but asking costs nowt. A bit easy to nick.......... They'd probably rightly ask for a HUGE deposit.Have you thought of buying one, using it, then putting it on e-Bay?
Russethouse
Before doing anything I should try a search of todays news where some childrens seats get a 'rough ride' (sorry !) They include European makes. If I find it I'll post a link.
Nick Trollope
They only cost about 10€ to buy!
Mayennaise
The cheapest decent one we have seen is about 50 euros. Where is the 10 euro one?
jc
Has it got a CE label?
P
Looking at Europcars website, in France, they want £21 / 29 euros to hire a child seat for 5 days. Buying might be the easiest and, depending on days, the cheapest.
Wendy
I have read it is illegal to sell used child car restraints, for good and obvious reasons and I would never buy one. Why do you not have one already if you have a one year old?.
Russethouse
Could it be that the OP has visitors with a 1 year old coming to stay ?
Paul Bradford
If you have a visitor arriving that need's one, how about them bringing their own? We used to wrap them in a dustbin liner when we got to the airport and check them in. We were never charged. That was using Ryanair as well.Paul
