I am in the process of applying to import my car, and need the cylinder size. After consulting my log book and drivers handbook, I cant seem to find the cylinder size in cm3 (Cylindree). I have a Vauxhall Astra 1.7 Merit Estate diesel. Can anyone give me or guide me to where I can get this information?

Thanks

Is it the size of the cylinders, the cubic capacity (1.7) or the number (probably 4 without looking it up).  Can you put the question on here?  If it's a four cylinder engine then just divide the cubic capacity by the number of cylinders (that should be in your handbook, but you could open the bonnet and count them! - although as I say, likely to be 4)

Edit : Yes, 4!

Cylindrée in this instance = displacement or swept volume of the engine, not just one individual cylinder.

So yours will be 1700cc or probably marginally less if you consult your handbook.

[/quote]I tend to agree JR, hence I  reckon it would be easier ifwe saw the whole question.  The actual engine size is 1686 (in my link).
