cooperlola Posted May 5, 2011 Share Posted May 5, 2011 Be aware though, that some prefectures (mine for one) need different bits of paperwork - I had to produce a form from my tax office proving that my income tax payments were up to date. This is not mentioned anywhere on the forms which Clair's link leads to. When I pointed this out gently to the lady at the prefecture in Le Mans, she told me that it was the wrong form and that I should have downloaded the one from the Sarthe prefecture's own website.[:-))] The moral of my tale : that form should be right according to national legal requirements, but don't be surprised if your prefecture needs a bit more paperwork - check by phone or internet before you visit (unlike me!)
