If I remember correctly it was put off indefinitely, on account of being v unpopular, but not ruled out completely. idun Posted December 12, 2011 Share Posted December 12, 2011 Commercial vehicules still pay a sort of road tax. When it existed before it was based on the CV of the vehicule, so you could pay practically nothing for a 2CV or a lot for a monster car. I would imagine that it could be along similar lines if reintroduced with the 'green' aspect taken into account too. Will it really suprise anyone if they reintroduce it?
