It was in the Sunday Times Money section (not the website since that's behind a pay wall now and has effectively disappeared from the internet) from 17/8/2014 (get it free at Waitrose - it's worth every penny!). It's full of caveats, but presumably (?) it applies to some credit cards. We have a French bank card so we don't use any UK cards when in continental Europe.
