Chancer Posted May 6, 2014 Share Posted May 6, 2014 Concerned because the article speaks of buying the cows and then says that the farmer has rented 37 of his herd.I bet they don't actually own the cow that they buy just the rights to sell its offspring and I bet any system of controlling who has given birth can easily be fudged by the farmer.I bet they also have to pay out something every year for the cow that they own but probably don't own.Can they take the cow that they "own" away? Frederick Posted May 6, 2014 Share Posted May 6, 2014 Does this mean that all this "private " money being given to farmers for running cows mean that the EU can now drastically cut back on the CAP funding we tax payers are giving to farmers ?
