Looking at flats/houses on the net and not sure just what the cc stands for.I'm thinking it some kind if maintainance charge...Can someone enlighten me please.

I am assuming that you are looking for somewhere to rent?

It most likely stands for "Charges Compris", meaning that "shared" property maintenance charges are included, but I would check what it does and does not include. You would normally have to pay your own utility charges of course.

The fees are a one-off payment to the immobilier for finding you the property.

It's monthly if renting ' à l'année' ie on a year long or 3 year long lease, but usually quoted weekly for the summer or holiday lets as they are more expensive and of shorter duration.
