can someone please tell me what the brick inlays under the eaves of the roof are called,   eg, where the stone wall meets the roof all along the wall are bricks inset at angles to finnish the roof off?????  Also seen tiles used too.

Im trying to find out the correct technique of laying them so they dont fall on anyones head!

Oh well I suppose you can always stick bits of cake, shaped like bricks, around the edge of the roof - lol

Just checked our devis from the builder and also from Batiments de France and they call them Genoise with an accent over the first e ( can't do accents on this comp - english keyboard)

cheers

pete
