Painting outside of House

I'm sure there is a thread about this. We need to paint the outside of the house. I think the walls are covered in Crepi - looks like conjealed gravy in texture. Any ideas about what is the best way to go about this.

We've tried Sandtex masonery with a masonery paint brush, but it's going to take forever.

I used Leroy Merlin own brand ''Exterior Peinture Mono Coche 100 % Hydro Pliolite" . Surface was a mixture of old render. new render and crepi but fairly smooth crepi.  Did not check painting time but probably did about 30 square metres in under 3 hours, much of which was two metres up and required moving heavy scaffold, used a large sized French roller.

About 20 years ago professional decorators quoted for end wall of UK house which was a ghastly mixture of smooth cast, rough cast, pebble dash and repairs. They were amazed at how much time and paint the rough cast swallowed.
