  1. ummm....I always holiday in France, and always buy French wine unless there is a really good offer on good quality Australian, African or Chilean wine at my local supermarket.
  2. oops again, fingers and brain don't seem to be working together today...I already had to go in 3 times and correct spelling mistakes!!
  3. there is a Moroccan restaurant opposite the L'eclerc in Montmorrilon that a French friend has said is very good, her husband was bought up in Algeria so they like spicy food . We haven't tried it yet, the Chinese place in Montmorrilon is supposed to be good too...oops think I spelt the town name wrong
  4. well the fox in the nursery school did bite a little boy........but then he did pull it's tail so I can't blame it!
  5. some people seem to make a habit of it.
  6. or you could just try the novel approach of sticking to the speed limit......
  7. don't forget your mosquito repellent and after bite cream.....
  8. I don't like the football but I really don't mind 1 month every 4 years. I might even watch the odd match. I can find plenty of other things to do when my OH and son are watching the rest. There have been some stunning shots of the South African scenery and I have enjoyed watching the sheer joy that hosting the competition has bought to the country.
  9. near L'isle Jourdain 86, again as far south as we could comfortably drive in 1 day and affordable prices.
  10. Best check first that they aren't innocent wallpaper strippers.
  11. the shops in the uk are just bursting with England footie related stuff, yesterday I saw t shirts for dogs, and baby bottles with the England emblem on.....seems like a bit of a waste of money for one round of a competition!! I'm fed up with it already and it hasn't started yet
  12. we came across one of these while out walking.....they chased us down the lane and we both got stung a couple of times. Unfortunatly we had to walk back past them on our way back, so we all tiptoed very quietly...dogs included, must have looked funny but it worked they didn't notice us on the way back!
  13. if you were living in the uk on £10,000 a year you would receive top up benefits, help with community tax and free healthcare. I don't see how a couple could possibly live on that little in France. You will need at least the same amount of disposable income in France as you would in the UK. I am presuming that the OP does not already own property in France as they would know the cost of living.
  14. our return crossing on 8th May has been cancelled too, so it will mean 6hrs on the Caen/Portsmouth for the dogs
  15. Sam is going to work in the guest house with the owner who was accidently shot by the Russians who were chasing Sam and Foyle. The Russians were trying to cover up the fact that defecting Russians were being forcibly repatriated and killed with the knowledge of our government. The escaping prisoners knew what was going to happen. The artist was killed by an English soldier who was looking for one of the escaped Russians, the English soldier just happened to also be the brother of the returning soldier who was told he couldn't have his job back with the artist........phew hope you get the plot because I think I have just lost it!!
  16. that's very nice of you thank you. You aren't the only French person on the forum though so you don't have to feel too lonely on here
  17. Sweets, I live in the UK and was comparing the prices for veg plants here, they are still cheaper in France despite the exchange rate, we visit France for a couple of weeks in the spring and my son would probably kill off any seedlings!! so we bring some plants back with us. If I was in France full time I would grow them from seed but for a novice veg grower (or people who can't be arsed!!) the trays of plants are good
  18. the markets are great for buying trays of young veg plants and they are really cheap...just buy loads and see what does best!!
  19. he may just need to change his medication or dosage, there are a few different ones, He really needs to go back to the doctor and tell them he has a problem.
