  1. I doubt if even we will be doing more than 5 returns in the next 8 months, so we are not ***! at all. I'm sure that by next summer things will be back to normal.??
  2. Yes, that's correct Sueyh, but people who already have FT tickets can still use them as normal. Not that we'll be in a rush, ours last till December 2021.
  3. I have just finished watching one of the most harrowing TV shows ever, Chernobyl, at the end the Russian government released " official" figures saying the 31 people had died due to the explosion and radiation. Never believe government figures. As to the American figures given on the first post, would you think that they are relative to a lifestyle?
  4. The results are good and low in our department the Loir et Cher, as according to my mate the plumber who is our neighbour the results are low because they aren't doing any testing.?? On a serious note our nephew who is a neurologist doing research said on the BBC world service on Friday that they are worried about physiological problems they've noticed occurring in young people with COVID. So keep on partying and protesting peeps you've been warned, it's your choice.
  5. Huldrich wrote the following post at 24/06/2020 16:58: I don't understand your answer. Is this a mockery? Not at all just my sense of humour. I could ask the same question of you, is your post a mockery? ??
  6. Reminds me, I must make an appointment to get my medication verified. ??
  7. Thanks Alan, I've contacted Signal Conso as recommended by several people on the Trust Pilot site. You never know your luck, do you? ??
  8. Best way to lose fat is to superglue your lips together.?
  9. I had the same message from EasyTrip saying I owed 25 Euro, I sent an E/mail saying why as I had returned it? I got a reply very quickly, very unusual for France, saying: maybe it was because of the lockdown at the post office or because of a failure in their database, also would I please be patient and they would return the cost when they investigate. I didn't understand the 25Euro charge anyway as the original information was that if you didn't return the tag the charge was 35 Euro. I wonder if they just charged everybody 25Euro and kept their fingers crossed that people wouldn't challenge it.
  10. Absolute idiots of the highest order. No respect for those who are trying to do the right thing.
  11. Interestingly I've noticed that in the Loir et Cher some single carriageway roads have been returned to 90 Kilometres an hour.
  12. Aire de la Baie de Somme has lots of Tesla charging points, but they don't fit other make of cars. Surely if governments want to encourage people to buy electric cars then the charging points should be universal.
  13. Probably not too much use to those protesters in London and Paris etc.. Still, it's their choice and right to protest, I just hope they don't use the same supermarket as I do.
  14. Have I got this wrong, I've always had the impression Eric was a French citizen ?? although living in the UK. Forgive me if I'm wrong, I often am. ??
  15. Wow, credit to CD discount, I ordered a new printer last Friday, it arrived yesterday. Yet a small package from the UK that was tracked into France on the 12th May wasn't delivered till the 27th.
  16. Norman you're correct about Blood tests, I'm not registered with a French doctor yet, and in the meantime my UK GP wanted me to have a blood test, bit tricky as we are locked down in France. So went the local Laboratory, with no prescription, paid 40 odd Euros, got a full set of Blood tests. Sent them by E/Mail to the UK, GP was happy and acted accordingly. On another track, it's getting very difficult to find a Doctor now in the countryside in France who is taking on new patients.
  17. Nice comments wollyb, look after him and help repay all the pleasure he has brought into your life.
  18. Paul, Neil Kinnock as PM, I don't think so cocker. So what my involvement with the Labour party has to do with Neil Kinnock maybe you can explain it to me. My comment was about Stephen Kinnock who has broken the lockdown rule but you seem oblivious to that fact or are just ignoring it. Although I sure you knew exactly what I meant, it just didn't fit in with your remain thinking.
  19. No dust at all Paul, just I did learn to read between the lines having spent many years as a Labour party member and union negotiator, until the momentum mob took over when I tore my card up. I did learn to have some idea of peoples intentions when they keep on the same dialogue. Going back to the bus is now old hat, and to be fair it did say could not would.
  20. Funny Paul that you haven't mentioned Kinnock or doesn't that storey fit your political persuasion?
  21. Lucky you nomoss that sounds really good. We get our UK pensions weekly which we opted for at the start, I said at the time, I paid my dues weekly I want my pension weekly thank you very much. So no bonus like Spain but, we do get fuel allowance and a Christmas bonus, a little extra.?
