Hi Christine The people who are looking live just up the road from us here in Leoville, Charente-Maritime. I'm popping up to see them later to give them your contact number (I got it off of your site) so i'll ask them to call you to have a chat if that's ok. Thank you so much for your help - as always. You're a star.

I'm posting this on behalf of some friends who are looking to adopt a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. They're experienced handlers and already have a bitch who is an absolute delight. They have no preferences to its sex. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance
5. I'm pleased to say that this little lovely has been rehomed. Thanks for all of your support and responses
6. Hi Sue I'm sorry to say that there's been no takers yet. I'm amazed. I really thought that some kind soul would have come forward by now. We haven't given up hope yet though. [;-)]
7. Hi Christine No, she definitely hasn't found a home yet. Someone did come forward to offer her a home but hadn't spoken to OH about it who was not happy about having a cat. So, she still needs a home. Do you know of anyone who'd like her?
8. Hi Everyone Could any of you kind folk find it in your heart to give this little on a home? I answered an obscure message posted on another forum with someone asking for help from animal lovers. It turns out this person has found a kitten in quite a bad way which had been abandonned. This was his reply to my email to him....... Whilst out walking in the countryside near our home yesterday we found a kitten. It has clearly been abandoned and is mal-nourished and has sustained and injury to its face.  I took it to the vet this morning and it is now on a course of antibiotics and we will continue to clean and treat the wound on its face which had become infected but from which it will fully recover. The vet says that it is less than a year old. We are moving overseas in a short while and cannot keep it due to the strict animal importation rules of our destination country otherwise we would keep it without hesitation. We also have 2 dogs and 3 cats of our own. It is predominantly white and is incredibly affectionate - purring all the time. She has obviously had little care and needs a good wash and some sun-cream on her sun-burnt ears. I have little doubt that she would make a fantastic and loving pet for any family so anyone out there who can give her a caring home please get in touch with me ASAP as we cannot keep her. I realise that this is a big 'ask' So, can anyone help? Please! (This kitten is located in department 79 but i'm sure that a pony express could be organised to get her to a loving home)
9. Our blackberries last year were delicious but this year they're really bitter. I'm putting it down to too much rain but that's a complete guess.
10. That's superb! I'm so pleased you contacted Chat Alors. They're really nice aren't they? Congratulations on re-homing them all [:D]
11. What do you think these eyes are saying?....................... 12. Fab news and well done. It's such a lovely feeling knowing you've found a loving home for an animal isn't it?
13. I have finally decided to keep this little one with her mum. Call me soft but the thought of seperating them was getting a little too much for me. Thanks to everyone who pm'd me about the kittens and especially those who have adopted them.
14. I'm delighted to say that 4 out of the 5 kittens needing homes have found homes so i've just one little beauty left. She's cream and caramel with beautiful blue eyes. She's ok to be handled, her apetites great, she's clean and generally a really healthy, lovely kitten. Here's a couple of photo's..... Up until last night i was going to keep her but Socks, our Siamese x, has taken a real dislike to her - he's very jealous bless him! Anyway, can anyone help?! I'm willing to do a bit of travelling to get her to a good home. Thanks

Fleas!

If you know how to get that tick out you need to do it asap. Otherwise go to your local vet who will show you how to remove them properly and should also advise you on treating for fleas.
16. Is there anyone out there that would like a cute kitten? We seem to have found ourselves with 5 little beauties after their lovely tortoiseshell mum gave birth to them in a neighbours barn. After hearing that our neighbour 'wanted rid' of the little family I decided to bring them home with me. The mum (Pickle as we now call her) will be staying with us as she seems to have made herself at home, and after a visit to the vets we have found no form of identification ie. microchip or tattoo. So, now we need to find homes for her lovely babies. We think they're about 8 weeks old and are all very healthy with good apetites. As much as i'd love to keep them all I know that it is completely impractical so does anyone fancy giving some of them new, loving homes please?! Here come the photos... Patch.... 17. Hi Remyred I'm sorry to be the bearer of sad news but trying to re-home kittens at this time of year is pretty tricky. Many people are finding cats in their barns having had kittens with no homes for them. I'm in a similar situation as our french neighbour has a cat in her barn which has also had 5 kittens. She doesn't want them but she won't do anything to help them either. So, i'm now in the process of trying to catch the little family to bring them home with me so that I can get the mother neutered and the young re-homed. However, i'm not expecting this to be an easy feat and may end up with the family here with me for a fair while. If you're in a position to get the mum neutered that would be a help because she'll just continue breeding and then maybe you could contact Phoenix Association in the Dordogne who may be able to advise you further about the kittens. Good luck and i'll keep my fingers crossed for you
18. That's interesting Clair. We have neighbours whos boys rides a quad bike in the lanes around where I live. Although these aren't 'main' roads we do get traffic go by and seeing him on this thing worries me to death. He's only about 8 years old. His brother, who's about 12 years old, rides on his own quad in front of him but there's never an adult with them. It's frightening.
19. Beautiful beautiful beautiful. I can't imagine why they've not been adopted. Good luck with the search for a home for these beauty's. You do an amazing job Christine [:D]
20. I love my dogs but I do keep them out of the kitchen even when we don't have paying guests. Personally, I don't mind dogs in a kitchen but from a customers point of view it isn't good so i'm a real stickler for it. But what about cats?
