1. Sadly back in the UK for three weeks!! (arrived here yesterday). Got "visited" last time home and my time just vanished. Next tme promise. Can you have a "starter fitting party" !!??
2. I'm sure Bob will be along soon, but in the mean time, hello! I'm in Belves, and I am still awaiting the health to fit my starter (Ducati Paso, split the engine cases to undo two screws!!). I know that there's a clun that meets up in La Bugue on Friday evenings, but I don't know how often. A few Brit's go along.
3. Snap! I got fed up with Norton ans was using it in conjunction with AVG, now I just use the later in conjunction with Adware Spyware and 95% of all my problems have gone. As for the paperclip, hasn't happened to me at all!
4. Better half informed, and very happy, thank you!
5. Not for me, but my better half. She asked me if there is a number you can call to see who rang, and didn't leave a message? Me? If it was important, they'd have left a message, if not, I didn't move here to worry about it!! In the UK it's 1471, be interesting to see if there is a French equivelent.
6. Cut the headstock gave the body a severe rub down until baby bottom smooth and then 20 coats of antique wax, and shielded the cavity and assembeled for set up with dummy Esquire pickgaurd until I find a material Fitted a three saddle bridge and converted the jack plug to a proper recessed one. Plays ok, but I am going to let it settle for a week or two before "tweaking starts" !!
7. I would have thought any "sump" pump would do, as these are "short pull/long push" and can raise the water easily, as opposed to a  surface pump which are obviously the opposite!
8. And still if not him, his force!!! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/north_west/6236934.stm
9. I'd love a JOTA, those adjustable handlebars, and the unique sound, you lucky, lucky, man
10. The only picture I can find of the Triton, for now!!
11.
In 7 years of having our French house, we have had various friends and relatives descend. Only one lot proved absolutely terrible and we no longer speak to them! It has to be said that my husband was still in the UK when these particular scoungers turned up, I think they would have had shorter shift from him had he been there! * They needed picking up from the airport. * They did not offer to pay the airport parking ticket nor the motorway charge. * They ate and drank like food and booze was going out of fashion! * No offer of paying the supermarket bill - in fact the husband added to my trolley extra food he wanted personally. The next time I shopped I insisted on going alone! He tried to do this again on the last day of his stay with his take home booze, cheese etc. I was wise by this time and told him to get his own trolley! * No help in house with washing up or tidying up! In fact they were put out when I had to clean up as it delayed their trips out! * Landed me with all the coffees and icecreams etc on the tourist trips I took them on! And no, there was no offers of paying for diesel! * Suggested we went out for a big meal at the posh nosh joint - and yes - you have guessed it -walked out when it was time to pay the bill - they needed some air! * Repeat trip back to the airport! Wallets firmly in pockets! They are so thick skinned and wonder why I do not want to talk to them on the telephone! In life it is easier to stay nothing, whay good does having a row do? I have just learnt my lesson. I try to put people off from coming as much as possible and I now say to people who insist, I must have help round the house and they must pay halves to my shopping bill. There are still the 'friends' who turn up unexpectedly and ponce on you for a few days but there is not much you can do about this!
EEEEEEEEK! Poor you, my patience would have lasted milliseconds
12. Bet the exhaust has a real "bark" to it, or "knot"?
13. Hopefully my better half will sort her holiday out soon! and I can let you know.
14. These Piaggio MP3s, how much music can you get on them?[;-)]
15. I saw both ends of the scale yesterday, both Peugeots. One was a 125 that was supercharged, and looked the dogs, the other was a 100 that even had a mock walnut dash and air evnts for a heater system, eek!
16. Paul at Music Kings says, "SG and 335 kts by September", my wallt says by Christamas!!! Dick, how's the Les Paul, where's the pictures?? We're on our way home Friday 15th, but not via Le Mans, so we're going Rouen, Orleans, Limoge. I have picked up lots of little bits to get on with the Tele, but my other half has friends coming down the day after we arrive, then the film crew from Yesterdays Racers are coming down Tuesday to film the old circuit at Cadours, Peter Warr at home, and something else (if I can think of it and write it quick enough!!), so the Tele gats to wait again. It has to be done by winter!!
17. Best thing we ever did getting one. We have to keep a certificate once a year to say it's been swept, but the do it yourself "cleaning logs" come with a certificate that is apperently acceptable. We have cold winters, but the heat from the log urner travels through the house, and we use no other heating, and on boxing day, it got so warm, we had to open windows! The most useful thing I got was when looking around for which one we wanted, I picked up a brochure, and it the back is a list of all the woods you can use, and which burns best, slowest, creates the most heat, and even which one smells best!! Oak is the best general wood to burn, but Hornbeam, you could melt stone with it!
18. I have never smelt or tasted chlorine from our pool, and we always use the bags of salt from Brico, but it has to be catering qauilty (maybe in case I want to heat it and add carrots! Our control box must be quite old, it has a anologue gauge, which invariably shows off zero by 1/4 of the total sweep, it has an adjustment control, but we have never tweaked it. How long do the electrodes normally last?
19. We travel back and forward still (three weeks here, three there) and our dog travels with us. As soon as I know if we will be home any earlier, I will let you know, but keep looking just incase! Our friends have four dogs at present, and have a habit of rescuing dogs all the time. They have an inside, and outside kennel, and are there full time, but run a gite complex, which isn't gated. I'll give this a bit more thought and get back to you!
20. Hi there. We live in Belves, right smack between Sarlat and Bergerac. We aren't scheduled to be home on Sept 2nd (I think we return Sept 7th) but my other half is trying to get extra time off about then. We also have some dog loveing friends we might be able to ask.
21. Sounds like a Velo-bicycle little engine either on the handle bars or on the rack behind the saddle, usually driving the wheel via a rubber friction wheel. My first "bike" was a NSU Quickly (I believe that is called a oxymoron, a bit like "goverment intelligence"). Three gears on a twist grip  by the clutch lever. It hand pedals, but like most mopeds, you couldn't use these when the engine had started (nor really when it it hadn't!)
22. We're in the Dordogne, where will you be? If we get a warning (unlikely at the moment!!) I'll let you know.
23. The Paso, bless it, harder to keep going than any old British bike! I'll post a piccy of the Triton next week when I'm home.
