  3. I check the forum every night before I go to bed here in the UK and I hold my breath hoping someone has rescued 14, I keep saying I wont look again because its so upsetting, I wish I had already moved to France so I could adopt the poor little thing to play happily with my 2 Bichons. I really hope someone comes along soon, its heartbreaking.

  21. Hi We have been in a similar situ although no children (ours grown up). We have finally narrowed our search down to Haute Garonne, we love it around Boulogne sur Gesse and its good for Toulouse & Pau airport the weather has been really lovely everytime we have been and the scenery is breathtaking, the people we have met have been really friendly as we have battled with our french, we do plan to visit again in the winter months so we have got an overal picture and will be seriously househunting once our house is sold in the uk. Good luck with your search, its really exciting isnt it.  regards Pauline
  22. Thanks a lot cooperlola for the info, I hope its ok to come back to the forum for clarification on any points once I have read the latest info. regards Pauline
  23. Hi, could some of you wise owls out there offer me an explanation, I have read loads of threads, info etc but I am still confused!! My hubby and I are hoping to move to France as soon as our house is sold in England, he applied and was successful in getting early retirement which starts tomorrow (scary) aged 54, the plan was we would be ready to move at the same time but the poor housing market put a stop to that, anyway, I am still working here and dont get mine until retirement age, I am 54 possibly 55 before we get to France. What will happen regarding health/medical cover for us with the new ruling? regards Pauline
  24. Thanks a lot everyone who has replied, its really helpful to get other peoples views, we are ready to move just waiting for the house to sell in uk then we can decide whether to rent for a while to enable us to have a really good look around or whether to buy??? Howard is the estate agent you mention in Bologne called 'Gascony'? its just that we were over in France 10 days ago & did some viewings with an agent, we nipped into the office to pick up keys and would you believe it Mike used to work in the uk with the co owner of the estate agents, she kindly invited us out for a meal that evening and we ended up staying at her home overnight in Bolougne Sur Gesse.(its a small world)!!!!! Hope to bump into some of you who live in the area, when we move. Thanks again Pauline
