cafetieres
http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=cafetiere+italienne&rls=com.microsoft:en-gb:IE-SearchBox&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=ie7&rlz=1I7ADRA_en&redir_esc=&ei=m9aLTdr6KdS1hAfR7MW6Cw  Best coffee I EVER make is in a cafetiere italienne. I have had mine for years and years and never broken it. I have broken glass jugs on other coffee makers.
With you on that. Bought one for €6 in Spain and found that it makes the best coffee I have ever tasted.
6.
Mr T... are you and Mrs T coming along to Coops lunch on Friday?  I dont think it's far from you [:)]
Would love to, but! We have another engagement - one that was made quite a while ago. Maybe next time.
7. My wife is writing a childrens story on a blog. There is no charge for it, it is there for all to read. It would suit children to the age of about 12, and is up to chapter 6 at the moment. The story is full of pictures too. It is here.
8. I would not bother calling tomorrow as it is Sunday!
9.

Doesn't really work for cars as they have no character.
I am spluttering onto my keyboard!   By which I suppose you mean they are reliable, warm, safe and comfortable (comparatively!)[6] Tin hat on.....
And sitting at home is warmer cheaper and much safer. A car is a mode of transport (in most cases) while a bike is a way of life.
10. Coops, just for you: A German tin box A British tin box Another 4 German tin boxes A Korean tin box A few French tin boxes. Doesn't really work for cars as they have no character.
11. Riding now: Nothing they have been sold. Best bike: 2004 BMW K1200GT Bikes owned: Honda CB250K4 Honda CB250N BSA C15 Honda CJ360T Suzuki T500 Honda 90 Honda 70 Honda 350/4 Honda CB750 F2 Yamaha 900 Diversion BMW R75/7 Kawasaki GPZ305 BMW R1150RT BMW K1200GT BMW R1100S Worst bike Kawasaki GPZ305 - I am sure mine had a plastic engine!
12.
It is not just the air between the logs it is also the real loss due to the cutting. Take 1 1m long log and cut it into 30cm lengths - now wonder where the missing 10cm went. Answer, the sawdust on the ground
That must mean that each of your cuts is 5cm wide! Huge chainsaw.
13. I have not had a diving accident either, but there were others that did at Fort Bovisand while I was there. In 16 years of microlighting with well over 1500 flying hours logged, I have never had an accident or even a near accident. The big difference is that you have to plan trips and boats for diving, while I can pull the microlight out of the hangar and go flying without any prior arrangements. For me the flying feels much safer. I also feel that there is much more of a thrill in taking to the air in any open flying machine.
14. As a microlight pilot and ex-diver, I would say that there is more risk in diving than flying!
15. You can buy LED versions of the G9 on ebay for less than £3 including postage. They use a tenth of the power and don't give off heat - great for the summer.
16.
Well, Wools, it is now a veritable BARGAIN![I][:D]
Trouble with the housing market sweet is that what a seller thinks is a bargain, is quite often expensive to a buyer!
17. That last sentence hits the nail on the head. Anything will sell at the price that a buyer is willing to pay.
18. As France is not the UK, I would think that the bank would try to get at your assets (ie your house) if you don't pay them back the money that you owe them.
19. I use the ones with 3 one watt LEDs from ebay. They all come from the far east, but I have had no problems with them at all. If they are GU10s then they work on mains voltage and do not need a transformer.
20.
Have to say Q having bought my first burner in 1995 (not much change out of £500 and blank CD's £7 a pop) I can't recall ever coming across a DVD player which could only burn CD's [8-)]
Years ago you could buy a CD/DVD player that would read DVDs but only burn CDs. I still have one in my laptop that is from 2004.
21. LEDs last much linger than any other bulbs. I have two 3 watt spotlight LEDs above my desk and they have a bright white beam. I am slowly changing most of the bulbs in the house to LEDs, but buying them on ebay as they are much cheaper. A 50 watt halogen GU10 can be replaced with a 3 watt LED and for less than a tenth of the power puts out just as much light.
22.
I hate them, I would have them banned and don't even get me started about having them at DIY places.
That is fine then - you don't have to use them, but why have them banned so that others cannot?
23. Two ways around it though. If your wife/partner manages to get a UK pension then they would qualify for the E form for healthcare and you would also be on that form as a dependant. The other way is to work legally and then qualify through your tax deductions into the French system.
24. I may be wrong, but I don't think that a US pension is going to get you an E121 from the UK to get into the health system here.
