1. Mine is the 6.5kw one the same as the OP, so perhaps that is where the difference is? Can't find anything that refers to the thickness except perhaps ep4????[8-)]but it does say it resists temps up to 750 degrees?
2. Leave them be, they will 'stop' themselves as the cold weather starts, and continue when it warms up in spring. If you have anything that is blooming, my camelia is in full flower, you would be wise to cover with some fleece.

Confused

Sorry, wasn't using the right terminology[:$] Their tax allowance had been miscalculated over a number of years, whether that would reach as far back as 1990, I don't know.
4. It was a lovely picture but I couldn't get it to appear!!!!

Confused

Apparently a few years ago they made an adjustment because some people had been overpaid and some underpaid, they adjusted it and people received either a debit/credit we were one of the lucky ones and got a credit of about £700, other were told they had to repay up to £1000, but they were allowed to do that in installments. Maybe it is along those lines?
7. I bought the Godin Regence ref: 3144 last autumn from Bricomarche and the dimensions it gives for the glass are 240 x 435 [blink]
8. My neighbour has just had theirs replaced, 130 euros from the local Bricomarche cut to size.
9. I'm afraid to say I'm with Gln_Paul on this one[blink] not being able to sit out in the evenings in the summer, and this year well into the autumn, was a real shame. Constantly having to watch the animals, (having seen a duck running around in a panic with this huge hornet on her back, I knocked it off with a broom!) Is not my idea of entertainment[:(] They hang around a large ash tree, so I'm assuming the nest is there but it is certainly not visible even now with no leaves on the tree. I am certainly not going to climb a tree buzzing with hornets to follow one dredged in flour, assuming I could get up the tree in the first place. Last tree climbing experience was about 1965[:-))]
10. I was bothered by Wasps/Hornets over this summer, and I was told they were the Asian ones, however having read this post I think I have been misled, there is no visible nest, they only fly at night if there is an outside light source, never during the day despite being near a peach tree with ripe fruit which they don't bother! They look more like the typical yellow/ black striped wasp/hornet not the yellow footed Asiatic ones, they hang around an ash tree in the garden but as I say I've never seen a nest. I took a dead one into the pharmacie, she said it was an Asian one, but when I told the Pompiers they weren't bothered at all. So what HAVE I got?????[8-)]

Road tax

The same place also stated that "it had been introduced for a short period of time previously" can I take that as being BS too? Thanks for the info as to the source AnOther, if my OH had been more specific I wouldn't have panicked[:$]
12. Have read on another forum that the French government plan to introduce road tax from 2012[:(] Anyone here heard the same?
13.

You could always sell it and give it to the children now. An inheritance is nicer when the hand giving it is still warm...
The most eloquent and accurate quote I have read, on this forum, for some time!
I agree! We sold up in UK bought here without a mortgage, gave ourselves a bit of a safety net and split the rest between the kids. It gives them a bit of a start and means they aren't hanging around like a pair of vultures[:D]
14. A friend of ours is having a heat pump fitted and doesn't have underfloor heating, so I guess it's not needed?[blink]
15. Perhaps his new owners could invest in a Feliway diffuser to calm the cat? Might help it chill out a bit more about Felix[;-)]
16.

They smell like dead people. And I have the world's least sensitive nose..
NNever met a dead person who could smell. Some of them can stink a bit though[:D]
Having worked in a nursing home some of the live ones could give them a run for their money......
17. A friend who lives near a sheep farm ( as we do....[+o(] ) recommended Red Top traps so I have bought some and intend to try them next year. I was very impressed that they charge the same postage for delivery whether you are in France or the UK[:D] nice not to be ripped off for a change!
18. We have loads of the little blighters at the moment, but to be fair it seems this year has been particularly bad for them at this time of year, certainly the worst I've seen and someone on another forum was saying it was the worst they've seen in 25 years!!! So don't let it put you off if everything else is perfect!!
19. Is there anyone who has space to take a wardrobe back to the Blackpool area from the Vienne? It is approx 5 feet tall and 4 feet wide and is still boxed.
20.
This section still needs to be pointed in it was to wet and cold last week
Excuses, excuses.........[Www]
21. That seems a very good rate and the charge very reasonable indeed, is there a minimum/maximum amount allowed? Has anyone else used them?
22. Thinking of you at this dreadful time, and hoping someone is able to help you as much as you have helped others on this forum.
23. I was turned down by one of the two tax offices in our department as the one I was at didn't deal with our village[:P] Had to travel 50 kms to the other one for the certificate then back to the original as that's where the prefecture was[blink]
24. Am currently removing the grout from my kitchen tiles, white tiles grouted in black[8-)][8-)], with a dremel. It works quite well[:)] there's a Domestos bleach that states on the back that it is fosse friendly Sweets.
