I think Brittany ferries are excellent vfm all the boats are in good or v good condition. I often travel back and to alone (yes i know its sad) but on the above sailing always get a free cabin.

All was working fine until we had a lightening strike very close by about 6 weeks ago. Surged killed off loads of electrical things. Well we are over that now. Can anyone tell me how long sky send the "Kill" signal after a plus box subscription is cancelled? I think that was what saved my box last time as it was removed and stored "before" the contract was cancelled and it was a couple of months later before it was used again. I am looking to do the same again, so fingers crossed.

There is a new library opened in our village. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday afternoons if anyone is interested. It does have a small selection of English books and it free to use. It is situated above the Mairie.

has anyone any experience on when you change to a French licence from uk licence but have already had 2 speeding fine,over the last couple of years, are the points automatically added to your new licence. If they are how long do you need to wait so they arn't. cheers nich

Is is possible to split the  satellite cable to feed both the feeds on a sky plus box? so i could record one side and watch another. I do have a 4 way LMB but it means running another cable in and as its over 60 mts to my dish, i was hoping to cheat. cheers nichthewood

had a similar problem here. i used plastic pipe adhesive (the type i glued the pump pipes together with) it seem to work fine . not very pretty in blue, but works. nichthewood howittgites.com

If you don,t like them. Don,t use them.  There in it to make money.

If you can manage until tomorrow. I would recommend, turn off the boiler then  putting as much heat into the garage (where the boiler is) as possible. If you can, i would also turn off the cold water at the stop tap. If your lucky, the heated room might defrost the pipes overnight.In the morning turn on the cold water first see if its thows out.Without cold water your boiler want work so no cold will mean no hot. You might be frozen outside, in which case you will have to wait for a thow. Hopefully no burst pipes. Can't see what else a plumber would do. You do need to get all your copper or plastic pipes lagged, to stop it happening again. Unless your really unlucky it shouldn't be the pipes outside. As long as they were sunk to the correct depth when they were fitted. Good luck Get the room as warm as you can.
