1. Ah Ron, I did say I didn't know if all of the English cards worked though, I also said that if I was wrong someone would point it out.  So there you go.[:)]
2. Yes they are much, much harder.  Oh I just got 7/10, I must be so clever.[:)]
3. I haven't viewd the other forum, but it would appear that some members from here are poking fun at other forums and othe forum members.  Is that what you mean Beryl? Dotty
4. Don Yes you can use English bank cards at the peage booths.  I have used credit and debit type of cards in the past.  Not sure if there is a UK card that doesn't work though, keeping looking back here and I'm sure someone will advise if so. Dotty
5. JC I totally agree.  Especially if you are driving the UK leg of the journey to get to the port.  I allowed myself 2 hours to get to Dover, as I needed to be there by 9.00am, thought at that time of day it was better to play it safe, knowing how chocker the M25 can be.  Only to find it took me just over the hour, which is great, but then I sat for what seemed ages for a Speedferry crossing. When I use PO or Seafrance, they will put you on the next crossing, and its great.
6. I think we are all pretty sad, but I wouldn't change it. [:)]  I can post as late as I like at the weekends, as I know my kids will get up, eat all the biscuits and let me have a big old lay in.  May even get a pot of coffee if I'm really lucky.
7.

Yep Quillans reply sums it up, hope i have not broken the rules by that remark.Michael.
Not at all Michael. The irony (as Dick mentioned) is that some currently banned members from this forum and some of the current members of this forum are complaining that on the forum they are now using people are posting whatever they like and where is the administrator and in particular where are the moderators. You should go and have a look. What’s even funnier is that it appears that one member who fought so hard to get another banned from this forum is chatting away to that banned member on the other forum as if they are almost best mates. It’s all rather amusing really. I was wondering if the other forum would like to hire the LF moderators to look after it for them now it’s nice and quiet here and we have a bit of spare time (in between moderating here and doing the ironing of course).
Blimey Quillan, I find your post very hard to read and take in.  Have you never heard of full stops or commas?  As a moderator on this forum I would of thought you wouldn't get much time to view other forums, yet you seem to know the ins and outs of who is posting where!  Why are you asking folk to look at another site where there are members who are banned from here?  Its almost as though you are mocking them.  That seems highly unfair to me, seeing as you find it all so amusing.  Please correct me if I'm wrong, but its just my point of view. Dotty
8. People that iron sheets clearly have too much time on their hands.  I have an ironing basket that once a week gets emptied, I decide it doesn't really need ironing but careful folding, saves on the elec too. [:)]
9. Thank you its good to be back.  Its strange though how things move on in such a short space of time.  The quiz, the lounge what other new things have been going on, oh or should I put that in the lounge? Will have another go at the quiz later and try to redeem myself, 1/10 is pretty poor. Dotty
10. Thanks, perhaps I'm being too sensitive at the moment.  Its really nice to know that folk are concerned for you, its just that the written word can be taken in many different ways. I will take it in a light manner.[:)]
11. Yes, just tot tricky to organsie.  Sometimes you just have to put your own family first, not that its always welcome of course.  Probably why I'm a bit disapointed by the attitude of some here, I feel like I've been pulled form pillar to post and was looking forward to getting back to normality. Seems I've ruffled a few feathers.
12. Tresco No sadly I couldn't go, what with kids at school and OH away in UK, but spent lots of time visiting parents before and after the big heave ho.  My Mum is the eldest and so am I, so quite alot falls on ones shoulders if you know what I mean, especially living in a new country for us both.  Irish families are quite close and death is a very important part of life.  I'm not very happy about using Dotty trois, but until Dotty0 is usable it will have to do.
13. Hmmmmm, jury is out on that one.  By the looks of some other posts there wasn't much kidding going on.[:)]
14. Booboo We opened an account whilst living in the UK with CA.  We have always found them most helpful and now we live in France the service is even better.  On occasion we have been overdrawn and we get a call to ask if everything is OK.  Usually its down to the UK banks delay on the transfer which has led to being in the red.  We could not wish for a better bank, he whole experiance has been fantastic. Dotty
15. Well I still can't log on to Dotty0 and I just got 1/10 on the quiz, oh and you wanted me banned, apart form that everything is hunky dorey.
16. KKK Sorry you are hurt, it has not been intended.  Had some stuff to sort out which was more pressing than replying to you or Gay.  I did however, reply to Twinks, only cos I received her email first.  I have only heard from James at admin on a log in matter, which incidently still doen't work.  I aplogise to you and Gay for not having immediately replied. Dotty
17.

Dotty has been busy with visitors, she told me to tell you all she'll be back tomorrow evening[:)]
Oh so nice of her to tell you.  I havnt heard a pip after all the running around I have been doing.  I want her BANNED
Thanks KKK, got Twinkles email before yours and asked her to let you all know I'm still here but not able to log in as Dotty0.  Had a reply from admin about my loggin, but only been able to try this evening.  Unfortunately it still doesn't work, so loggin in as Dottytrois.  My Mums mum died last week, so have been a bit preoccupied with that.  See My Mum lives in France and my gran lived in Ireland, so lots of tooing and froing. Dotty
18. Tresco, no I don't usually log in and out, but last night I hit the wrong button. Elsie, I use internet explorer, but frankly I'm too scared to log out for fear of never getting back on.  Why should I suddenly need to delete all of my cookies? Ian, ha ha very funny, not.  This is driving me mad.
19. I too saw the post.  It does make things rather confusing when a post or complete thread disappears.  Wouldn't it be better if the post or thread were left and a thick line put through them so they can't be read.  Oh and the reason for deletion and the person that had deleted them mentioned as well.  This way we would know we aren't going mad or the forum isn't having technical problems. Dotty
20. Good evening all I am having a terrible time with my log in.  It started last night.  I have subsequently had to reregister a further two times and frankly am all out of email addresses now. I have contacted admin and as yet have no response.  Can someone tell me if the person. James I believe, looks at these sorts of problems on the weekend? Desperate Dotty
