  1. We bought two Weeping Willow trees last year, this Spring one has come into leaf and the other one has no leaves at all on the branches but is sprouting all the way up the trunk, can anyone advise why this has happened? Thanks.
  2. Hi We have a 10 x 5 pool with an abri, we were away for a few weeks in the winter and the pump must have tripped out. When we returned the pool was very green. We opened it up last week, drained 2/3 rds of the water out and refilled it. We have chlore chocked it and used 10 litres of anti algues and it is still very dark green. The ph is high and although we have added ph minus it has made no difference, it is also not showing any chlorine. We have the pump on 24 hours. Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks. Steph1
  3. We bought our 16kw woodburner from www.stoves-direct.org.uk and they delivered to France. We are delighted with it and had no problems with ordering or delivery. We would highly recommend them.
  4.   Hi , "We bought a plot of land with a valid C U in the Haute Pyrenees, at the beginning of November 2005. The C U did not expire until 24th Jan 2006 and when we met with our architect in Nov. he agreed to renew it for us. At that point in time no one had advised us that the C U renewal application must be submitted to the mairie at least 2 months before the expiry date - not the notaire, the estate agent nor the architect . If we had been aware of this fact we would have submitted the renewal ourselves whilst we were in France in November. Imagine our horror when we received a letter from the mairie in early Jan 2006 telling us that our renewal had been refused (our architect had not sent it on time) and we now had to apply for a completely new CU!  The architect assured us that this would be just  a formality.  We decided to come out to France again in March to meet the architect. We expected the new CU to now be in place, but no such luck! He has now told us that we are required to have a Hydropedologique survey carried out on the land to assess the suitability of the ground for the septic tank and also the EDF have to approve the granting of the CU as regards the electricity supply. Our question is this - would the  Hydropedologique survey and the EDF approval have been required to merely renew the CU, or would it have been automatically renewed without these procedures ? Any help or advice would be appreciated to help us understand these matters. Thanks.
