1.
And there was me thinking that was you all along, JK
Thank you Peter.  It is not exactly rocket science is it?
2. Christine, they are lovely!  Thank you for posting them.  Twinkles little sister is spending Fete de la Musique with me so I will take her to the rooftop of Printemps. [:)]
3. No Woody, I am not a singer but I like to sing a song.  Twinkle is a very good professional singer.  My avatar is of Janis Joplin whose music I adored even as a child. Sorry Woodie but I never go on nice lady sites....I don't see the point. I never tell porkies Nectarine, I am useless at it.  In fact, I always give myself away as my blinking gets a bit furious.[blink] Like that only much quicker.
4. Anti English sentiment exists in France, as well as anti these and anti them.  All these exist in every other county too.  There will always be nob heads to judge people on their race, culture etc.  But we all know that already dont we!
5. Hi Woody, Yes, I have moved to Paris for the foreseeable future.  Twinkle, who is a childhood friend of mine lives in the Midi and she posted the picture of the nice lady by the tree.  I think she posted it because she has a fairy fetish but I am not sure.  In fact many of her actions leave me a little puzzled [:D]
6. OK, I know I may crush a few corns here but would you not consider moving into an English enclave?  That way you can enjoy a wonderful country, visit and get to know the French locals in the next town and run back to your own flock when they start doing your head in.[:)] Seriously, I really do admire those of you who up and go to France and choose to live amongst the locals.  We all like to think of ourselves as being strong but the lack of understanding and the risk of rejection would be enough to make me cry myself to sleep
7. Brilliant tips!! Thank you all Xx In case Twinkle has not told everyone, I take a size 5 shoe and a size C cup!!  There I think that is everything now Twinks isnt it? I dont find Parisiens rude at all.  Especially the waiters and policemen.  I find them very helpful. [:)]
8. Thank you Twinkle.  For any confusion, I am JK.  Right now the fun begins...........................See you all in mobile phone section, finance section, satelite tv etc etc etc:::::::::::::::: Dont these french keyboqrds get you down?
9. I am totally with Nectarine on this one.  Yes I know it is lying, but sorry, that is what I would do I were in Janes position. After all they had both entered into an illegal arrangement. He would have to fight tooth and nail to get a penny out of me. However, it is likely he will contest this and will probably be believed.  Especially if he resembles Brad Pit and Jane resembles Marti Feldman in a dress.
10. I have sent you another PM Twinks. [:(]
11. Look at your PM's darling.
12.
And now we have the programme 'Loose Women' where the guests look like their faces have been pulled to the back of their heads and talk like Geordie truck drivers[:)] We really have come a long way eh gals?
Hello stranger [:)].  Anyway I love the Geordie accent on men.  Big day for me today Twinks [:-))]
13. I remember House Party too.  I used to love it (sad).  Do you remember, you would have a scene of two biddies making cakes in the kitchen and talking about alsorts, then you would hear "ding dong" and someone else would arrive with perhaps 100 balls of wool and sit down and start knitting with the gang in the lounge.
14. Awwwww!  I can't find it!![:@] Katie having a tantrum because she isnt in on the gossip[:@]
15. Hi Rose,  Life in the fast lane is quite good at the moment although I do not know at this point when I will get bored of that too.
16. No, I got bored with it.  [:$]
17.
Also our house is rather dark and only has a view from the garden above it, which is fine in the summer but could get depressing. This would be a big factor for me......
Yes, me too Gay.  Lovely lamps and a log fire during winter and nice and cool during summer.
18.
What a fantastic and fortunate opportunity to get to grips with french.  Pads once suggested to me that I find a French waiter/waitress to work at our pub, if only...
Why not?
19.

Oh Llantony, this mode of thinking really worries me.  I am a generation younger that you and live on my dreams.  I have a place in the South and one day I will live there.  No doubt you had the same mode of thought when you were my age. What happened?  Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems the older people get the more cautious they get.  Your reasons for not moving to France seem very light to me.  But then again, I have yet to be "snuck" up upon by the caution fairy.  She is a mare!! [:@] I think the advice given to try it for a year is all you can do really.  After that, I hope you throw caution to the wind and remain young.  You have earned it!!
Katie, "oldness" and "youngness" both live in the mind.  I don't say the body; that gets old whatever you do to it, but with the mind, there are lots you could do to keep it young!
Well I won't delve to much into that Sweetie, but good for you........go girl!!  [:D]
20. Thank you Ysatis, I really am quite fortunate.  A new girl has started work with me and we share the same office, just me and her.  The boss wants me to teach her English and vice versa.  We have only worked together for three days and already she has caused me this headache. [:D] I suppose people would pay a fortune for that opportunity.
21. Thank you very much for your help.  I have looked in my hugo book which gives an explanation of this tense.  Thanks JR, I will certainly start looking at the use on on in this tense.  My colleague has told me also that this is widely used. But I know what will happen, I will learn it get to my plateau then find another huge climb behind it. [:(]  Anyway, it is nice looking down

23. Sorry but my french is not good enough to read the link Clare.  I too need french mobile phones, my daughter has told me that it would be better to get a sim contract in france and buy a cheap phone in UK as phones in France are very expensive.  I dont know how true this is and would appreciate any input.
24. Thank you all. JR, I think I reacted to my colleague the same way.  I thought "What the flip was that"?  Then I asked her to translate. Also JR, your post troubles me, you are obviously more advanced than me because I don't understand what you are talking about when you say that the use of "on" avoids carrying around more punctuation. And using  normal form and il faut que..........[:'(] Anyway, why do they use this tense?
25. [blink]Learning French is like climbing a mountain.  You think you have reached the top and when you get there, there is another drop leading to a further climb beyond the clouds.  Sorry to scare you Pads but that is the way it is. My mate in work (she's French) said something like............. Tu veut y qu'on alliers plus tard. [blink] Or in a normal language "YOU WANT THERE THAT ONE GOES MORE LATE" Or in English, "do you want to go there with me later" Well, I think that is how you translate it.  God help me.
