1. Do a search for phone unlocking...........can be done very cheaply online. (mine cost £5 and that was a few years ago!) Also do look at the recent thread about NRJ................... Louise
2.     OOOhhh well done Jayjay! I haven't tried the walnut husks yet....try and do it tomorrow if i get chance! How did you put yours on then?? Louise
3.   I've never had a selective headache before. What are you on about Chris, the man flu must be affecting you badly. I feel for Mrs H today though...............those affected with man flu tend to whinge a bit! That plus the constant groaning and ill sounds you blokes like to make...............'uuurrr but i'm reaalllllyyyyy ill, groan, grumble'. Hot honey, lemon and whisky will sort you out. And eat a clove or 2 of raw garlic. Louise
4.     Blimey my neighbour wouldn't even think about venturing into her garden if the blinking moon wasn't right! Do you reckon that they are a bit obsessed with size over here! (veg that is!) I plant when i want to!!! Sod Mr. Moon! Louise
5.  I've had no plums this year while everyone else seems to have had loads!! (if this helps!!) Louise
6. I think varnish is mostly not best! Louise
7. The barn doors changed but only in a 'it looks wet' kinda way. As for bees wax.are you sure it wasn't tinted or something?! 'Himslef's father makes the stuff and i've never noticed it make much difference to the colour of wood. The 'Working with Wood Crew' will soon tell you  what's best! Louise [Edit...... We tried Linseed on pine and  i reckon it made it look pants......well more pants than it already is!!)
8. Ian We have used linseed on our barn doors, darkens slightly but looks fab as far as i'm concerned. Louise
9.     We have had long horn beetle in our new ish oak beams upstairs (previous owner had roof replaced). They haven't touched the downstairs 'black' beams though must be some evil stuff!  Did you know white wash was used externally to prevent insect attack. I don't really want to sand the black off though, it's a bit sad, but it feels like history is etched on those old beams. We now have new ones going ceiling to floor to support the roof as we removed some beams to convert the upstairs. They are a lovely untouched oak colour, trouble is they don't match the anicient black ones............what to do, lighten the old ones or darken the new ones! Louise
10. I love you Jonzjob!! (even though you hate cats)[kiss] I do agree with you (mostly), although i do love colouring my hair! Keep 'em coming!!  I'll only be giving you money when i see you on my door step with a calendar. (Pompiers get preferential treatment though so if they are there... move over) Louise
11. Back to the walnut topic, How long do they actually keep for? Last years are still good to eat. We hope to take ours for oil this year, how do you keep the shelled nuts, in the freezer?? [it will take months to shell enough....as i recall 90kg of unshelled nuts gives 30kg shelled nuts, which makes 15 litres of oil. (they keep 2L for payment) and  they like you to have around 25-30kg of shelled ones] Any tips on how best to shell S**t loads as quickly/ easily as possible appreciated! Or am i in for a long winter in front of the fire! Louise
12.  I'm sure it's all just Chris trying to tease us all................. Le Gif's probably doesn't exist! (C'mon.........prove me wrong Mr H!) Louise
13. See working with wood section Verv!  (sign carving and finished sign, i think!) I missed X factor tonight, i am getting in to it [:$] , it's repeated tomorrow though! [:$][:$][:$] ( Tell NO-ONE i said that!!) Louise

16.
20€ Louise. Er............ I agree with some of that John.
20!!!!! Now i feel like a stingy cow! (................what exactly do you get from pompiers for €20 jayjay.??)
17.
I like feminine women. One thing about women these daze is that because they are daft enough to follow fashion there are a boat load of beautiful women around that look bruddie awful because they trowel makeup on as if they have shares in it! Most of you DON'T need it.
Arrrhhh your such a little poppet John! Come on then give us your fashion tips! Maybe a Jonzjob fashion calendEr! [kiss] Mind the stitches though! Ps, getting your roots a different colour takes weeks to perfect! Louise
18.
what calenders were being bought to the doors of expats because it is so very different from anything we had seen in the U.K. Oh gawd, I can fel one of me 'ed ackes commin on [+o(]???
As has already been said FIREMEN, FIREMEN, FIREMEN................you don't get them knocking on your door in the uk! (Although when i was back you can get a free fire safety check in your house..... i wonder if they do that here...) Ok to be sensible, how much money do you give them??? Louise
19. Bob T, East Anglia isn't full of flies. Well not at my mammy's house anyway, she doesn't allow them in. I live in Charente on border of the Dordogne and haven't noticed a great increase in the flies when i walk over the border. (although we have a lot of flies.......part of country life I'm afraid!) I have taken up fly swatting with an electric bat.......great fun, now i positively encourage flies to come in. I think flies were last on my list when house hunting! Louise
20.
................. the 'ladies' seem to have taken over and seem to be using us poor blokes as sex items!
Well there's wishful thinking John [;-)]!! Twinks, i don't reckon he'll be interested in your calendar though, i reckon he has a slightly different taste in women! Louise
21. What calendar is that from John, the village football team or the La poste one? Louise
22.
I had purple streaks put (professionally)into my blonde last year and they were much admired but didn't last long at all, fading to give me a horrendous overall blue-rinse effect. . Chrissie (81)
Nope you can't get round the granny look i'm afraid! I had a friend who dyed his hair green, now that looked bad when it faded! If yours wasn't a permanent dye it would be worse, you'll just have to re-do it regularly Chrissie even a permanent dye you'd have to do your roots!. Anyway what's wrong with a blue rinse, i can't wait to be old enough to have one! Louise
23. Ha.............in three years, you'd be lucky! (unlikely a man could pass year one's English let alone the rest!) Sorry chaps i can't resist having a dig [kiss] Louise
24.

Well I reckon Dick Smith should make  a few bucks by getting his sons to pose for a calender.  Roll up ladies[:D]
I'll buy one!
Yep I'll have one! (agree with  JK, about the red tie one.) Now Dick, if you need any suggestions as to poses/ content....................... Louise
25.
Er.........I think we've gone off topic girls! Walnuts, walnuts, walnuts!!!! [Www]
Well what d'ya expect at this time of night! Oh  ok back to topic............i have lots of walnuts and require slaves to help me shell them so i can take them to make oil this year. (90kg need shelling for 15 litres of oil........... ooohhhh what a fun winter i'm expecting!!) I'm sure it'd be easier to go and buy a bottle of walnut oil, but............... Oh and don't forget the free hair dye!!!!! Louise
