7.
Does anyone know what the paint for around the doors and windows is called?
Thanks for that chancer, but I'm sure there is an actual product for it.
8. Its definately not gloss and I can't imagine its emulsion else it would wash off. Its the red brick effect and white stuff they use round the doors and windows. Is the lasure readily available?
9. Does anyone know what the paint for around the doors and windows is called? Its almost like an emulsion finish but waterproof.     Thanks Matt
10. I always find the N15 then D7 down the east side of the Seine quicker. Not sure if this link will work, but here goes.(You may have to zoom the map for road numbers.) http://en.mappy.com/itinerary_homepage#d=Rouen%2C+France&p=map Matt
11. I think someone very kindly posted a link on here to a site that tells you what kind of planning consent you need for various things. Does anyone have said link as I can't seem to find it. Thanks Matt
12. Thanks for that Chris. Who'd of thought that my bucket would be so renowned, it's just one I bought in the quincaillerie for my ash. I shall be sure and look after it better! Just out of curiosity, how the hell did you know that?
13. Not knowing anything about birds, could someone possibly identify this fat little fellow that was in the garden the other night?   Thanks Matt

15. Take no notice of him josa, he's obviously run out of things to say on pettylittlemen.com! Oh,by the way, I have no financial interest in this post.
16. I presume it works on a similar principle to a well pump, so you need a good seal as La Guerriere says. Do you need to prime it like a well? Is it possible to fill the outlet up with water, thus priming it?
17. Don't know of any groups but the "Les Sentiers d'Emilie" books are very good. Also many tourist information places have walks available.
18. The reason I posted this site is through no personal gain what so ever. I have P.M'd a few people this site address when they appear to have had no success on the forums. Each time I have received very positive feedback and that coupled with my own experience, thought it would be useful to others. As I have said, if there was a problem with me posting this site why did nobody inform me. I also find it quite sad that people are very quick to judge when all one is doing is trying to help, I guess that is just a sign of the times, sad none the less.
19. "I suspect that as you have placed the same advertising on the other French forum, that the site may be something to do with you." No, nothing to do with me, as I said, I've used it a few times with much success and thought it maybe useful to others. I agree that yellow pages, local knowledge and local companys are the preferred route, but having also tried that route and ending up waiting for people to not turn up or turn up and think I'm some kind of English millionaire and wouldn't mind being ripped off, I don't see the harm in casting my net further. As for the site, I always contact the artisans directly and not put a general enquiry up, and yes I contact French as well as English. Also Bob T, if you had a problem with me "advertising" this site, why didn't you say when I asked the question earlier?
20. "These sites may be good for clients but not good for artisans" I am a client !
21. The site in question is www.findatradeinfrance.com If I've broken any rules I'm very sorry!
22. Very good Bob, but no, one for the non french speakers
23. I have a website address for a site helping you find trades in France. I've used it a few times with great success and wondered if it would be O.K to post it on here, I don't want to get moderated or anything so thought I'd just check.
24. Thanks, thats more like it. We've never been to Bordeaux, the tram system sounds just the ticket. Any more ?
