1. Hi to all, Does anyone have a french alphabet with the sounds next to it (i.e. phonetic). We are starting a french/english conversation group in our village and we were spelling out our names, so it would help to have such a list. Many thanks in advance. Suey
2. Thanks Clair but its not a bi-annual, because of family history its been recommended that I have them annually (I am 49 so not in the scheme yet for the bi-annual). My doctor has already done the script for it, so I will try the Somme radiology place as its quite close. Suey
3. I have to go for my yearly Mammogram. I live in Pas de Calais and had my last mammo in the Somme. Is it allowed for me to still do this as I understand there has been a change in cross department rules. I may have got it wrong - of course! Thanks Suey
4. Have been with tele2 for about two years and have had no probs. 34.90€ per month includes all international calls all day every day, plus internet and (if we lived in the right area) TV. Don't pay for line, thats included. Very good. They have now been taken over by or have amalgamated with SFR. Suey
5. A friend has asked for assistance with connecting teleconnect to her mini laptop eee pc (which I think is linux) - has anyone experience of this? Thanks Suey

9. I have just taken down a light fitting in my kitchen and have discovered that only two wires went to it (a blue and a black but no earth). The new light fitting has a place for an earth wire and says that it should be earthed. HELP what should I do. House was rewired four years ago. Suey's other half

11. When we took over the insurance on our house from the previous owners of the house we discovered that the property assured was actually their address in Kent!!  They or their insurer had inadvertently put in the wrong information!  I do wonder what would have happened if they had had to claim! Is it possible to grow Dill and Fennel in the north of France? Thanks Suey
15. We were advised by our new insurance brokers to use the letter of resiliation as the envelope and fold it and sellotape it, put the address on the outside and post it like that recommande.  The old insurance company cannot then claim that the envelope was empty!! Sneaky eh?! Suey
16.

Oh and back on the radio too.  Can't stand that giggling, simpering sidekick of his either.  Come back Jo Brand, Lisa Tarbuck or Richard Allinson, please. Suey
And Jimmy Young, he was amazing! He had a beautiful singing voice too. I loved his version of Donald where's your troosers.
Bit of a misunderstanding me thinks. No Cynthia, Jimmy Young has never sat in for Mr. Ross while he was off suspended for his wrong doings!! suey
17. Steady now Bugbear, you'll have your bits chopped by the Moderators!! Oooh painful! Suey

19. Thank you Anton.  We are in the Pas de Calais and have a number of supermarkets around us, (including Carrefour, intermarche, Auchen not too far away), so will try them. Bon weekend. Suey
20. We have just purchased a gas hob and need to buy a gas canister for it. Could anyone let me know the approximate price of a gas canister/tank for it. Thank you in anticipation. Suey
21. Try Amazon France, they have some good offers.
22. Watched the DVD last night avec sous titres, we borrowed it from our french friends in the village. Fantastic - so so funny. Living in a small village in the Pas de Calais we know what it is like trying to understand the ch'tis. Wonderful, welcoming people here. Loved the film and also the additional bonus disc. Suey
