  1. Hello all, I am attracted to this system because of its ease of installation. My question is how much more expensive is it than copper to use. A little lazy of me not to have worked it out for myself I know!  Thanks in advance.
  2. Single mans R.M.I is 374euros per month.
  3. Hello, go to your Marie for the forms first. I have started up as a gardener and the C.C.I have told me that the R.M.I is available for entreprenuers. I anticipate a lean hard winter so I thought I should get my claim in soon... They may pawn you off and make you run to other offices like my marie did...gits...but they do have the documentation required. The Chambre de metiers/commerce are super for all the facts I find.
  4. Thankyou Hagar, I and I am sure many people have been surprised by a micro voiture driven by an ancient de guerre/paysan suddenly appearing in front of them as if by magic! I remain glued now to the road, the slightest hint of a road off to the right and I throw out my anchor. How the FCUK can a man tell...? One minute there is the countryside whistling by and the next I am doing an emergency stop because one of my girlfriends countrymen has manifested in front of me in a diesel powered fiberglass dinkytoy... Which leads me onto another subject... In the good old 53rd state of America/Angleterre there is the curious thing known as 'Lawnmower racing' Is there a future here for the tuning of these microcars...
  5. What is the Gallic logic behind this...
  6. What is a 'Troll' apart from an ancient race of Icelandic people...?
  7. I wish I never asked... and the piece about forum baiting is really about Anglo info... a place of misinformation, critisism and spiritless editing by faceless hands. Please forget this subject was ever aired.
  8. Hello, I wish to ask if any-one out there knows the situation as regards the estate of a suicide here? The person enquiring doesn't wish to leave a bigger mess than necessary for those left to sort things out. Is a will of any use to clarify things for example...? Please don't give me any stuff about counseling as I am only asking a question. Thanks in advance.
  9. I just would like to say publicly that I am sorry for all the offense I caused and that I have today asked for forgiveness for my sins at my local church although I didn't go into details as my french isn't up to it I did basicaly say I am a thoughtless individual who has no more right to live on gods clean planet than a weasel... I have now said my hell marie's and done my penance and now ask for the forgiveness of the forum as I have now acknowledged my blunder and confessed it publicly. Ty Korrigan
  10. And the price of a gardener...! That will sink you...
  11. Hello, Prehaps its transferable skills... a stockbroker in rural france or a pigbreeder in battersea... Although I realise that what is one thing in the U.K is nothing here... even gardening is divided into 'Paysagists' and 'Espace Vert' I walked into the tax office in Chichester and was in business. Here, a 5 day course and endless paper later and I am still unofficial after 3months! The french system is NUMB! but I am here and must take my place in society.
  12. Bit like snails then...  you probally need a good dressing...
  13. Ah... thats easy! I have a 'Kiva' debrousiallous (excuse the spelling) autoportee or a self propelled brushcutter. It is 9hp and mulches all in its path! It cost me 2500euros and is my bread and butter mower as most of my gardens are renovations. There is a more powerfull model with 13 hp at 4000euros available. I am certain that this will never break, it is built like a tank but easy to use. Far better than your ride-on trash at the same price point... the ones with 5.5/6hp will only cut sparser dryer grass without clogging but are good value all the same at around 700euros+.
  14. Any-one got a John deere SST16 zero turn mower... If you have, could you share your thoughts about it...

    topsoil

Terre vegetal is often sold by of all places quarries who must remove material...
  16. Before I go and buy this machine does any-one know of a place in france that sell this model for less than the list price of 3849euros...? Also if its made here then why is it cheaper in the U.K...? Luxury tax...?
  17. Hello...  New Honda HF2147HME Hydrostatic 40" cut twin cylinder very reliable high quality machine. Bottom price in France 3849euros  U.K 3154euros thats 620 less!!! Should pay for the signwriting on my van! Assuming the motor is the usual Honda quality and I can replace belts and fiddle etc then there is no worries about importing especialy as a family member works for a freight ferry entreprise. Mind you... I have seen some***** machines out there... real belt burners with motors so loud you need earplugs and defenders! I have waited until I really found enough clients that warrant the purchase of a garden tractor and been offered several by the said clients who have spent days on end of their precious holiday mending said***** mowers. Looked at the John Deere, even better build quality but quite pricey in comparison for a small entreprise just now. Let you know how my machine gets on...
  18. Ah! 'recouping' abit like re-home-ing a chicken then! I shall e-mail for further info... after I have cut more grass with some of my investment!
  19. Hello, please just assume these are values of investment only.  Other costs are irelevant for my example Ta very much!
  20. Investment is paid by the profit I make. So for instance does a simple sum like this make sense? I have materials costing 10k with a life of 10 years, which in 10 years will cost 13k to replace. So to pay for this, must I earn 13k plus the tax on the profit? ( say 50%) so in fact to replace my 10k investment requires 19.5k of actual taxable profit. What say the learned...?
  21. Hmmn... I am thinking about 'employing' another gardener less skilled/equiped to just cut grass or assist me with jobs like fencing. Good idea the subcontracting...
  22. Is it also known as 'Mache'? when sold as a salad?
  23. O.K I shall ask this question to the panel for a bonus point... Can any-one tell me how much I would have to charge per hour if I took on an employee. The investment in the company is 45k and I want to pay the SMIC to the employee with my wage 50% higher.
  24. So, just to confirm, if I employed some-one on the SMIC at 8.03 per hour I add 60% and get 12.85 perhour and then there are insurances I expect... what else to add on?
  25. I now believe I am wrong to give any advice on this subject, my personal experiences can be of little help to any-one and I have no wish to give false hope/information to people. To be honest, I am also tired of getting up peoples noses on forums. This forum is generally more mature than the 'Other' forum and I have no wish to bring down the level by losing my rag or fighting my corner. Sorry for the offence caused... I'm off to cut grass in the rain...again...
