  1. It is not shown on the Flybe www right now because I think you will find that the schedules for "summer" 2008 will not be announced and thus on the www for approx.3 weeks.  My understanding is that Soton/LaR will operate again next summer.
  2. The Soton/LaR service only runs for the "summer months" - late Mar/late Oct.  Balance of the FlyBe 2008 summer schedules will be announced within 2/3 weeks. Frederick - are you saying that Soton/LaR has been dopped for 2008?
  3. Its all a matter of location (UK and France), cost, time available, etc, etc. Our preferred route used to be Portsmouth/StMalo (house is in the Charente Maritime) but this has changed in the last two years.  Cost was a major influence and we now only use LD.........OK it's another 90 or so miles but the roads are excellent (nearly all motoway).
  4. We pay ours by DD from our French Bank Account - but "Tresor Public" is OK for the cheque
  5. We are in the Charente Maritine (near St Jean D'Angely) and we pay our Taxe d'Habitation in December of each year.
  6. LD Lines have confirmed that the 2008 schedules/fares will be available "on line" from the end of September.
  7. Does anyone know when the above will be available "on line" for booking purposes?
  8. Anyone's potatoes suffering from this in Charente/Charente Maritime and if so what is the cure?
  9. Hi Have friends in Jarnac (very close in Cognac) who may br interested in letting...........call UK + 44 (0)2392463477 or mobile + 44 (0)7769 945669 Peter
  10. Nothing wrong with the football at FP this season..........highest placing since 1955 and millions in the coffers from TV, Premier League, etc. Nearest "league" team to me is Niort - who are struggling to survive in L2 - and if they do survive they will be playing Nantes next season - who have been relegated from L1 (champions a few years ago and Barthez has been playing in goal for them).
  11. The Hayward Pool Vac is extrememly good and efficient...............
  12. 98 viewings and no answer.............come on Poolguy!
  13. Can somebody help me............? Have an FBE pool (10 x 4) installed 2yrs ago by local installer without any problems/issues.  I know PoolGuy does not favour the Oxy Actif system but it seems to work for us. The problem is that despite regular cleaning and hoovering with a Hayward Vac (daily) - within 6/8 hrs a blackish "tide line" appears at one end of the pool and around the roman steps which are at the opposite end to the pump/filtration system.  This "line" is easily removed with a sponge and appears to be slightly greasy because flies get "trapped" by it + other insects, etc - and although we have been swimming since last weekend (water temp 23deg) - nobody has used sun tan lotion/cream! Has anyone experienced the same problem and if so how was it prevented?? PeterCD
  14. Thanks Cat - just what I was looking for.
  15. I recall from the last Presedential Elections that there was a website where you could "drill down" and obtain the results for each commune, town, etc. Does anyone know the www? PeterCD
  16. Does anyone know when the route details will be available for the TdF? Particularly interested in the Cognac - Angouleme 55k time trial PeterCD
  17. Does anyone know of a weed killer that can be used very soon now to clear weeds from a veggie plot - but not render the soil useless for this years crops? PeterCD
