1. Eurolines is fine IF you are young, can take things in your stride and have time on your hands. My daughter took it last March from Canterbury to Paris where we had arrange to meet and visit the relos. I was already in France care of Mr Easyjet from L'pool. The coach she had to take, came in from London Victoria. She somehow had her seat double booked being the only one in Canterbury to get on. So no room for her. She went and complained at the ticket office and the coach company offered her (at no extra cost) to get on the next coach which was going to Bruxelles then was going to Paris! So for her original journey which should have lasted 7 to 8 hours at the most ....she arrived at her meeting point some 12 hours on top of that,  later than she should have done... She is not ready [:(] to do that journey again.....
 2.
Hey Missy, it's lovely to see you! [:D] I hope you didn't give your OH any of that wine![;-)]
I did ! Twas an awful bottle of chilean red water with surgical spirit diluted.....  He loved it!...
 3.
Thats all it takes of course. Best game by far, to date...................
I have only JUST recovered!! That last drop goal, the silence in this household matched that of the stadium, it was phenomenal and the roar once it got over the bar was enough to take anyone's concentration away! only that in this house it was M****! then for that Clerc to get a try out of nowhere!... I was jumping extactic!! I am having to watch the video tape again and again to believe it.... to think that this morning all the French rugby pundits I heard, gave their own players up as a lost cause!!.... Pure Genius .... makes me think we must have invented that black liquid which flows through Dublin!....  Yes! Best game by far !...  Come on World Cup!....
 4. Not truly French life but the person is French alright!.... also sorry that it is not a very good photo but that was in the days before I owned a digital camera!.... Yours truly [:$] ready as a walking tableau for the local carnival in 1999 in my little welsh town. The theme of the carnival that year, was any historical event of the last millennium. Immediately there was only one idea of costume for me! that was to go as a French paysane on her way to the Revolution!... Ah ça ira! ça ira! Les aristocrates à la lanterne! Ah ça ira! ça ira! Les aristocrates ont les pendra!! My OH was somewhat not amused [:(] by it at all... until I came home with a bottle of wine for winning the 1st prize in the particular category I had entered!...   [:D]
 5. .... but here in Wales.... With a such sunny morning, OH, faithful hound and I went on a lovely walk up our mountain and I took a picture of Cader Idris in the distance... the 'little' grey pointy bit in the middle of the picture. There is a bit of snow left from these last couple of days. Sometime, but it needs to be a very clear sky sunny day, we can see Snowdon in the further distance. Just in the little dip to the right of Cader Idris.
 6. In the next hour another battle will commence!! Irland-France at Croke Park. The French press this morning announced quite unashamedly that 'Les Bleus vont à Croke Park où les croque-mitaines vont les avoir!' (From a sporting commentator on France-Inter this morning at 8am) Meaning that the Irish are going to make mince-meat out of  'Les Bleus'. A croque-mitaine is a very severe punishing and avaricious witch type of a person. They were often invoked by parents when children were up to mischief, to make children behave and be quiet.  Over all I think the Irish will win the Grand Slam. They deserve it after waiting patiently some 20+ years for it.... England or France second and some consolation for the Welsh as they won't have the wooden spoon.... The Italians are here for that....
 7.
My guess for Missy = 36
Sorry  [:$] for the gender realignment... 12.
It is a real gift to have the ability to talk rubbish when you are sober isnt it?
Is that a gift that you are not well endowed with then..... [;-)]
 13.
The first record I bought was Bill Haleys 'Rock around the Clock'. I've still got it somewhere........................................[:(]
That was in the 50's! and to like it so that you would buy it you must have been in your late teens so that makes you ..... 65ish ! Having some strange happenings here..... had an Email regarding this forum and thread : Photography-Not France, clicked on it to view the new posting from Russethouse and it tells me that the forum is no longer available. .... So I go the long way round to see if it's not just a blip-blip from my machine and here I am in Photography-Not France and there is no such posting from Russethouse with the link to whatever photos she wanted to show us!....... I did have some wine this evening but not that much ....... [8-)]

 18. Oldest appliance that was still working but died on NewYear's Day : my cooker![:'(]! It was a wedding present from my m-i-l, the only useful present I ever had from her. It was delivered to my house the week after I got married in 1979... Hope the replacement will last just has long!....
 19.
.... a dash of Maggi Arome Saveur ....
What happened to good ol' Worcestershire Sauce!....
 20.
I don't blame you Chief.  What did you expect an orderly queue to meet you?  So what happens now?  Oh I know, all the "riff raff" (they know who they are) are going to come on board your thread for the craic.[:P]
Well if anyone is up for a good craic !! (or a hwyl fawr they say round 'ere - pronunced : huel as in fuel and vah-or...) I know where there is one in France on the 10th of March and I will definitely be there! All fools and merrymakers are welcomed and the more the merrier! Our very own Twinkle will be doing her star turn again!.... Enough of that, PM me -or Twinkle- if you want to know more, or the Mods will have me for advertising! [;-)]
 21. Well !! I said the Irish would win it!!  Cardiff will be black for all the Guiness flowing in the bars... Might even have to send for an extra tanker worth of supplies from Dublin!......  [:D]
 22.
There are mountains in the background but the interesting thing is the lack of ice on the other boats.
[:D]  I did notice that too!
 23. Incidentally, as we are all getting excited about our own nations winning [:D] (or not  [:(]...will see today...) have a look at this website selling tickets for the World Cup in Sept/Oct. : http://www.globalticketservice.com/eventlist.asp?event=Sports&mainevent=Rugby%20World%20Cup The price of them!!! For the final at Stade de France they go from £734  up to £1345 !! [:-))] Do you get a glass of bubbly and a room at the Ritz thrown in ?.... .....better get the house remortgaged if I want a super treat for my special month then .........
 24.
The "capital letters" are deadly !  [8-)] La Société protectrice des animaux.  Most peculiar.
Most peculiar! Alors ça oui !... Toute ma vie j'écris : Le Président de la République in deference to his function as the Head of State and in this exercise it tells me NOT to. The president in this context could be also le président of a company... but that Premier Ministre must have a P majuscule et m minuscule as it is his title ..... Bizarre.... They must have changed the rules since I left the country... [Www]
 25.
Well done England..........je suis gallois. We will know better the way things are going to go after Cardiff tomorrow afternoon.
Oh! Llwyncelyn bach... if only you were in Wales... You should feel the trepidation in the air at the moment.... Many a boyo in our little town here, isn't gonna sleep tonight for that big match tomorrow. As an 'outsider' I think the Irish are going to win actually... These little green leprichauns are to be feared at the moment.... That O'Driscoll has a lot of respect from his men and he certinly does galvanise them for victory.... The Welsh had a set back with Gareth Thomas out and rumours are that he is to be ditched altogether.... But it all happens on the day so.... Found this... maybe you'd care to put up your own Welsh team... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_union/welsh/squad_selector/default.stm also one for the Irish, English and Scottish teams and NONE for the French team... Bias!.... [:(]
