1. My New Year wish is that my home in Devon sells really quickly and we get to spend most of 2006 in France
 2. I'm sorry now that I sold my LHD Audi 2 years ago, on Ebay for £100. She went to France and when I last heard, was happily driving into town to fetch du pain, du vin etc and coping very well up and down the farm track she had to negotiate. I missed her, wonder whether I could buy her back
 3.
**That was a very kind and understanding response**Just an explanation, NannyP. And welcome to the forum!Tell us a bit about yourself and if we can be of any assistance we will be glad to help.
Thanks, and I won't do that here, since this thread is about other stuff. Hoping to come out to live next year

We're both psychotherapists, and I wondered whether there is a market for English speaking therapists amongst the expat community? We will not be reliant on our trade, but it would be nice to continue to have a little work to boost our income and brain stimulation We expect to me living in the Limousin or Poitou Charentes area, and quite rural.
 7.
It puzzles me why people want to leave the UK and live in France .......................and then want to turn France into another version of the UK!!!!! Perhaps the French like things just the way the...
Phew, I was beginning to think I'd joined the wrong forum I want to move to France, because it is France. I hope it takes many years to leave the time warp, preferably 30, cos I'll probably be dead by then. I live in North Devon, moving here to escape the  manic South East of England. I have heard fellow incmers complain that, "there is no infrastructure!" Yes, I think, thank goodness, that's why North Devon has remained as beautiful and peaceful as it is. Please don't make France another UK, where shopping, eating and entertainment is non stop.
 8. Sadly, I'm back home in UK now, but whilst I was beside the pool, and whilst i was enjoying utter peace and quiet, I read The Grapes of Wrath, John Steinbeck. No French connection at all, but so nice to have the time to read an old classic.
