Emma! EMMA! EMMA!   Where are you? How's the cat? I am also happy to try and help you if you are near me so why have you disappeared?
You did your best Rob Roy. Everyone who posted did. I expect a few people have been left wondering about the fate of Emmas cat.
(Actually, I am in 17 not a million miles away from Tresco - just south of Pons! - hello Tresco.............)
Well hello there fellow 17teener.[:)] Go on Ace, stick your rough location on your profile. It's incredibly useful info for other posters, and it saves you having to say where you are all the time. Emma please, take advantage of any offers of help you get on the forum or by pm.[:)]
  4.
Woolly Its not only the french she wants to know my opinon on its the russian , japanese, america, french and chinese, and german, do you think the rest is just a ruse to find out what we think of the french??[:D]
At least it's a wide range of people! [;-)]   It sounds like a young person to me, not that I want to sterotype young people.[:D] I'm sure you'll find a way to describe your views on this matter.  I think you're three quarters of the way there already.[:)]

Oh gosh, Emma has deleted her post...[:(] Emma, pm me if I can help. I'm between Saintes and Cognac. Or, I can phone a vet for you, wherever you are. You'd have to trust me with your name/address though. Emotional support goes a fair way but your cat needs to see a vet.
  6.
definitely more than 10kph... there's a better photo at: http://www.veytisou.com/figaro.jpg Parties in both cars have seatbelt-shaped bruises.
I can't see the pictures.  I hope your daughter is OK. It's really fightening to be hit like that. Of course I hope the old lady is OK too. It's really frightening to hit someone like that, I would imagine.
  7.
I have just seen breaking news images on TF1 of a huge pall of smoke hanging over London following some kind of explosion believed to be in the Stratford region. Anyone know more?
It's a fire! http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/london/7090725.stm
  8.
But that isn't what positive discrimination is about is it?  Its the recruitment and promotion of ethnic minorities to the exclusion of others to balance the books because too many of the workforce are not from the correct ethnic background, the classic example being the various UK police forces.
No, that's more like Positive Action. Positive Discrimination isn't even legal in UK.
  9.
Will have to make sure that water butt is in place then or the fruit is going to prove a mite expensive.
You can never have enough water butts. Chris is right: it's perfect for planting now.  Even if you haven't got your trees yet you can be preparing the holes. What size trees are you going to get?
  10.
Read your Swift again baby[6]
[:D]
  11.
These are fashions and stupid.
Are you my dad?[;-)]
  12.
...I thought we had moved beyond ethnicity questions in the modern world.  Whatever next?[:@]
They can be very useful in highlighting areas of discrimination. I doubt that's what the Ministry of Immigration, Integration, National Identity, and Co-Development will use them for though.  That name reminds me of some Orwellian Ministry names...[:(] Tj why don't you just explain to people what you mean? You're very vague about this thing that is 'blatantly obvious'.
  13.
The "new look" below waistline jeans ,younger females are wearing , are a turn-off.
Do try and keep up with fashion if you are going to comment, LEO. [:D]
  14.
UK fixed asset non liquidising capital disposals are subject to a 20% imposing tax in France, so you'll need to budget for this 'loss' in your calculations....
I nearly had a heart attack then.  Bixy? Bixy? Bixy?[:-))]
  15. That sounds like a long haul David - 8 months! [:'(] Well done for getting out playing again.[:D]
  16.
... why would you want to be 21 again?
You're too kind.[:)] Because then I wouldn't look like a wreck on the TV of course. Surely someone must want to to it.
  17.
Is that me favourite blue rabbit in the whole wild world?
It might be.
  18.
...and from that day to this, I have always had a 2 person sized cupboard in all me houses!
But what if the cypboards had been ripped from the house you had just bought, as is so often found to be the case here? I urge you not to make light of Steves offer, Mr Nix. If I was 40 years younger I would be there like a shot.
  19.
this is good fun [:D][:D]
Are you young, raindog? PĂ«rhaps you can take advatage of this offer?
  20.
Well someone may have taken the bait! http://www.expatforum.com/expats/wanted/1917-london-based-tv-show-looking-people-moving-overseas.html
Well jolly good for them. They didn't sound very enthusiastic though. Some people will find anything to moan about.
  21.
Can I have a toke after Steve has finished?
Oh look at you all now. Steve posted a perfectly serious proposal and now it's a party!
  22. Those are really nice pictures, alty. Thanks for posting them. [:)] What camera did you use?
  23. Mmm. I've done that and it worked fine for IE. At least I think it did because I normally use Firefox, and being a very scatterbrained bunny I forgot to test to see whether I could post normally first, using IE.[8-)][:$] I've followed the same process in Firefox but still have the same problem. V strange, but I'll just use IE when I need to. Thanks very much for your help.[:)]
  24. When I click on 'reply', the box opens as usual and all appears normal. No buttons are missing and no error messages appear. I can do anything with the 'subject' box (see above) but once I try to enter the message box nothing happens, my cursor won't click into it. Exactly the same thing happens if I try to send a pm or start a thread. I have logged out and back in again many times. Edit: Oh that's strange. I changed the title but it didn't come through on the post.
  25.
Tresco has asked me to post on her behalf as she cannot start a thread.
Thanks Katie.[:)] I can't reply to a post by clicking on 'reply' - only if I click on 'quote'. That's no big deal as I can quote anyone and then delete it, but I can't initiate an exchange by pm. I can only reply to pms that have been sent to me (again, only by using the quote button). I can't start a new topic (obviously). I noticed this a while ago but really have no idea what can be causing it.  Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this?
