  1. Hi, we actually posted the same question three years ago and had a few replies albeit never did take up any offers due to our gite being booked. But we now have two and are still seriously interested in a swap! All areas considered. Take a look at our website www.le-tilleul.com
  2. http://www.ita2sevres.org/uk/ thanks opal fruit for spotting the mistake!
  3. Gite owners and b/b proprietors in the Deux Sevres may be interested in a group called ITADS….International Tourist Association Deux Sevres . We formed the group a year a go and currently have 30 members.  For a small subscription you can join and help build the club and promote not only the Deux Sevres but our business too. Anyone interested can take a look at our website  http://www.ita2sevres

  7. surprise, surprise about tiny...I even have to cover up their logo as I can not stand the thought of them...bought computer about 4 years ago just before coming to France cost £1600...within days problems.... their after sales service cost me about £1.00 per minute and as I am a complete luddite about such things their calls would only last 15 minutes then they would cut you off! first thing happened actual computer caught fire and destroyed 'motor board' or something that sounds similar, whole system had to be replaced...than printer (which cost over £150) packed up and i only use it for the odd leaflet...and as I say scanner has not worked for over a year? all in all CRAP!  so i am very very happy to hear about their demise!
  8. John is going to build a chimney using square hollow blocks with a liner inside in sections. Built on the outside of a gable wall. He is hoping to hire a large (150mm) diamond core cutter (if they exist?). Any one know of a hire shop near Melle? Question…when drilling though a  wall approx. 80cm thick, does he drill horizontal or at an upward incline (to help the draught?) Also he will be fitting a cleaning access ‘T’ piece at the bottom…someone mentioned a hole was required for condensation!…any advice on the above would be greatly appreciated.
  9. many thanks for the replies...I bought a Tiny computer and the scanner was included.....really do not have one good word to say about my experience with this product! may well try their site if they have one?just come in from the garden where the weather is lovely www.le-tilleul.com
  10. the light on my scanner has gone and I can not see how or where you replace it....or do you have to buy another machine? Like the printer that broke and every one said it was not worth repairing but better to replace any advice greatly appreciated as I HATE COMPUTERS AND ALL THIS TECHNO STUFF
