A couple of weeks ago, I was also an absolute nervous wreck like Tresco, as I was going to meet for the 1st time & stay with both CroixBlanches & Naps, they were both lovely & great company. I also met Sundaydriver & pp Chris who were charming. I've also spoken to Mrs MDW & she's smashing & I will be meeting her in September. Hopefully my nails will have grown back by then![:-))]

We have one of those fly guns Pip, although I'm not revisiting my boyhood![:-))] Also it only stuns them & you still have to kill them. I'm a good shot, if you have a drink on the table! [;-)] We throw everything at them! A zapper, flyswats, flypapers & the little patterned stickers you put on the windows. There's always one though! Grrrrr![:@]

Hi, They are called boules de naphtalène and boules à mites. You can get them in supermarkets & I believe you can get odourless ones too.

It was Eurythmics & Shania Twain to cheer me up, now it's a chaffinch cheeping his little beak off & a couple of collar doves cooing! [:D]
