I am unsure as to what has happened to the dog, I tried contacting by using the number on the ad, but couldn't get through, despite trying for the majority of the day. I do hope that someone has been able to save this dog, the breed are fantastic, if he got on with other dogs, and we knew what he was like with children, I wouldn't hesitate in taking him on, but having a 7 year old in the house, and not knowing the history, I don't think that it could be possible.

Does anyone have any information on the rottweiler that can just be seen peering bleakly in the darkness? -
I just had a thought, maybe Belle should have a quiet word with the frogs and ask them if they could only make noise between certain hours of the day, say 8am -12pm, 2pm - 7.00pm - 7.30pm If the frogs don't comply, she should report them to her mairie. As for complaining about me calling you shallow, what do you expect when you post something ridiculous on open forum! You can drain the pond, or not drain the pond, but you will have the frogs calling every year, whether there is water or not, you will also be destroying their breeding ground, as frogs return to the place that they were spawned. No matter what you do, you cannot escape the sounds of nature.
Where on earth did I say that you were stupid? Open forums are to express opinions, give advise, and yes, maybe push fun at some of the more ridiculous posts, it all keeps a happy balance! As for my 'nasty comments' hardly nasty, just a bit of light hearted banter. Maybe the frogs are just as annoyed with the noises that you make, as you are with them!

This should make Belle happier: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/special_events/green_week/article1128488.ece

I cannot believe that someone could be shallow enough to complain about the noise made by frogs, and have 8 shallower friends, who left because of the noise! Pond = frogs...... simple as that. Frogs make noise, so do the crickets and other insects and nightbirds. If you lost the frogs, how would you go about a mass cull of the crickets? Turn your lawn into a mass of sticky traps? We are surrounded by ponds, in fact we have one a metre away from our house in our back garden, the kitchen looks out onto it, and our bedroom over it. We have at least 20 in that pond. Out of the front of the house, we have another pond, and a stream, and a large lake, all full of frogs. Our neighbours have 3 or 4 large ponds, that they breed frogs in. None of our friends have walked out in the evening because of the noise, they all love it and find it fascinating and we certainly haven't lost any sleep because of it. We came from an area where we had helicopters flying over all times of day and night, tanks thundering past throughout day and night, lorries cars etc.... I certainly know which I prefer, IT'S CALLED LIVING IN THE COUNTRY!!!!!! (Must stress to the cats that frogs are a protected species though..... they do like to scare them! [:D]

If you stress a cat during labour, then the kittens also become stressed, and it can lead to death of mother and babies. Its best just to keep a very close eye on her, and watch where she is having them and move after the births.

On my box, you go into the security settings, (password protected, admin is the default password for both user and password) go to security and then go to wireless. When you are in there you will see that you can change the settings to wap, wep etc, it will also allow you to see if the dongle has been found by the box, as it will have assigned your computer number to it. Try playing around with those for a while, I had to do this quite a bit while setting it up, I found that to bypass everything, I had to turn the security off which allowed the wireless connection to work, and then turn it back on again, hoping and praying that it didn't register the dongle as a threat, which it didn't thank god! Good luck.

I know this may sound like I'm being rude, but I'm not, honestly.... (it took me 6 very long hours setting one of ours up wifi) When you enter the wep key, it has to be EXACTLY the same as what is on the sticker, and watch for the 0's that look like noughts and vice versa. When you hit the wifi button on the box, you only have about 5 minutes to get the connection going, if you don't do it in that time, it resets itself and you have to start over again. You could always go into the livebox security settings, and have a look at what it is set to recieve? Just a thought.

Hi, Don't know if they are still available, but on the 'other forum' (AI) someone was advertising 5 males, 2 black and white, 2 black short hair, one black long hair and one smoky/bluey grey. Contact either Shelley Smith or Tony on 05 46 51 08 28 Sorry about Tommy. You could also contact www.phoenixasso.com apparantly they have a lot of kittens at the moment. Take care

Mite powder and then just let it roll around in the dust.... (not as mad as it sounds, as they do dust bathe). Companion may be tricky as they are very fussy birds, if they have been kept in a group before not to bad, but if it has been on its own, it will probably fight with any new bird. Cats are great with chickens, they tend to get used to them and generally ignore them. Mine sleep in the chicken shed with the hens! Good luck
