1. Hi Karen, I live nowhere near, but if you Google Charchigné, you come up with a few sites that will get you started. Here's one! http://www.orvinfait.fr/communes/mayenne/charchigne.html
2.
The french calendar "Les Dieux du Stade" is on sale as from to-day.  I shall be drooling and dribbling all over it - again! My favourite is Clement Poitreneau  Not sure why!!!
I don't know why either Twinks!  Don't think the pompiers calender will be like that, so I'll pop it on my Christmas list[;-)]
3. Well, I put that Cassis & deleted it, as I thought it was a bit corny![:P][;-)] BTW, why would anyone think to swallow 8 sausages whole?????[+o(] Sorry, well someone did put, that they liked the way threads went off topic!
4.
Jay jay I think your the Insomniac lunatic! And one day if im as lucky as twinkle i may even get a chick named after me!!![:)]
Pads, lunatic yes, insomniac nah![;-)] BTW think the chick thing is on a different forum, poultrykeepers isn't it?[:P] Missy, It is one big village isn't it? I've just had a coffee with a few on here. Admittedly, I had to drive a little way for it. All of them were as nice in the 'real' world. That's the other thing about fora, the true friendships that can form from them.[:D]
5. Great attitude, good luck to you both & I really hope it all goes well for you.
6. Well Verviale, for the entertainment value, the useful info & of course the good folks on here.
Barking B&B owners, musical sausages, dotty ladies, insomniac lunatics, whacky woodcutters, dizzy dog lovers, mad mods, krazy kats......etc.
Mmmm Twinks, I suppose I'm in there somewhere![;-)]
Oh terribly quilty.... I love them ALL.  I'm sure I'll be cursed, but i just love ABBA.  I can listen to any of their songs over and over again.  Somewhat like Queen.  Just love them.  Guess that gives away my age.  Then also the BeeGee's. ... oh I am so old !!!
Snap, I could have typed that Lori![:-))] I'm terribly quilty too![;-)]
8. Hi Egger, Glad to hear you're having fun, don't worry about forgetting to weigh the veg, we've all done it at some time. Some still do[:$] well, the amount of times we've found something hidden at the bottom of the trolley! Just think what a dab hand you'll be with a paintbrush, once you've got your place & decorated it. You'll be able to branch out & away from hairdressing!![;-)] Hope you've had a great time with your step son & you're not too upset when he goes back. It's not nice when rellies go home, but it does get easier.
9. I like the sound of the cake too, or the making of it, but ginger beer & vodka? That's a new one![:-))]

12. I thought this was interesting & for our department, a little dissapointing![;-)] For your particular dept check out the left box, for a comparison/league table for all departments on particular info, check out the right box. http://www.lexpress.fr/info/france/dossier/departement/departement.asp?id=515504 For the map giving the department table, see here http://www.lexpress.fr/info/france/dossier/departement/dossier.asp?ida=438172 Haute-Garonne is the overall number one.
13.
When I saw this thread "Tresco in England" I thought what is she doing there that merits a thread all of her own? Now supermarkers can be jolly interesting but not the same as chronicling the adventures of the blue bunny person back in England.
I read it like that too Renaud! Thought she had managed to get to a puter. Ah well, she'll be back soon![:D] Brit supermarkets are great for foreign foods, can't understand why some people get funny when fellow expats want to buy tastes of home over here.[8-)] No matter what they are.
14. Hi Thomas16, I'm so sorry, poor you & please accept my heartfelt sympathy. A friend was in a similar situation, although she doesn't have a child. She did get the the bereavement allowance which is not much & is only payable for 52 weeks. Also the bereavement payment, which is one off & £2000. The links for these are below. She is fully in the system here & fills in a tax return. So she did get help from here as well. I can't remember fully what it was, but will find out from her tomorrow & let you know, unless someone else comes up with that in the meantime. I do know that because of her extreme low income she did get RMI, all health costs paid, she also had a payment for wood too. I can't tell you anything about child allowance, sorry. Others on here will know though. http://www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk/JCP/Customers/WorkingAgeBenefits/dev_008411.xml.html http://www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk/JCP/Customers/WorkingAgeBenefits/dev_008417.xml.html Take care Jenny
15. If we are phoning Sky & they say anything about it being from an international number, we just say we have a cheap call system & that the calls go via the cheapest route, which is normally via a foreign country. We've been OK so far. So use the 3651 & if they say anything, you could use that as the reason.
16. Actually Sasfields, I didn't, so that's why mines dead straight & does nothing!
17. But more expensive & more of a fiddle & faff Pip![;-)]
18. Tell me when, as I would love curly hair![;-)] Set off the grey lovely!
19. Well done Pads, hate the thought of you missing it, although I will be![:(] Hope the night goes quickly for you.
20. Not cool? Yellow & eeked, I nearly crashed into it when I saw it! Then when I was taking the pic, well.......[Www]
21. Here you go Pads, you could look on here too. Just tick the boxes that apply & it will give you a map of the connections. http://www.dtg.org.uk/consumer/connection_wizard.html
