Thanks WJT, Boris our dog had a similar thing, but being a shih-tzu, it was easier to cope with, but he's never been the same unfortunately. Angus' problem may have been nudged on by a torn ligament in his leg, which at present he's dragging. [:(] Hopefully, there might be someone who's poor large pooch has suffered the same or similar & has some advice.    

This is on behalf of Pip, as she has no internet for the time being. Has anyone had any experience of dealing with a large dog that has a ruptured disc. Angus is only 5 1/2 & is on anti-inflams & painkillers, but is having real difficulty getting around. He's a big dog to carry in & out. Any helpful hints or tips please? Thanks

Thanks Nettie, it doesn't look too promising then. She's found one in the UK, but was hoping to find one nearer home, well at least in the same country. It's odd, there are breeders over the Channel & even though they're bred for coursing, if that's illegal, a breed doesn't just die out, does it??

Well done Clair! [:)] Mine went through a real bad patch & I really had to resist temptation, but now no problems. As far as hairdressing goes, not too sure as I have my own personnal hairdresser.[:D] Maybe if you ask, they'd do a 'dry cut'. Say dry, but they tend to spray your hair with water to make it easier to cut. It's how I always had mine done in salons before, as I couldn't lean back over the basin.

Somehow missed this, but yes John, I'm still poo free! That's since the beginning of November & all is fine. I did have a few bad hair days for the first few weeks, I even posted a photo on a particularly bad day!!![blink] RH, I doubt if there would be much point if you regularly dye your hair, all those chemicals. Maybe henna would be OK. I don't actually dye my hair, cos I have natural highlights!!![;-)]

Well, if you still want to buy them after reading Bellac's links, then you can. We buy them in Carrefour & they're called Noix d'Amazonie & they're sold shelled. You'll find them in the section where the dried fruits, nuts & popping corn are. BTW, the ones we get are split into two joined trays, just in case you're looking for a bag.
