You will find a lot of clear information on options for materials suspected of containing asbestos on the Health and Safety Executive website, www.HSE.gov.uk. All their publications are designed to be straightforward, especially those aimed at small businesses. Most of the information is very applicable to house renovation etc. and is free!      

Have you tried Lakeland? http://www.lakelandlimited.com/ and look at creative crafts  Our Bricomarche has a lot of 'bits' too but I think that may vary from shop to shop.   Regards Isobel

We have just successfully made fly repellant using a recipe from here http://moniteausaddleclub.com/flyspray_recipes.htm , recommended by a knowledgable horseman. Skin- so- soft obtained by ordering Avon catalogue from their website.This arrived in a couple for days and then we ordered the skin so soft by post, again quickly delivered. The citronella was in the first pharmacie we tried- either luck or it's easily available. There may be easier ways but this worked!
