  1. I have brought over a sky digibox, dish and dark blue card with yellow house on, all up and running BUT I can only receive BBC1,Channel 4 and 5, the other BBC's,ITV 1 & 2 all say "no signal received", the picture quality is very good even though the signal strength and signal quality bars are only half way on set up menu. Am i correct in my assupmtion that if the signal strength for 1 channel is good enough it should be OK for all others,? am I on the wrong satellite,?is it the card or digibox?, I cannot get any sky channels as they are all subscription but the picture quality is very good on all channels and I pick up all after 12.00 channels with no problems,I bought the set second hand in UK so wasn't expecting too much of it but Corrie would be nice.
  2. A good friend living many years in Brittany wishes to sell a UK caravan as he cann't tow it behind a French reg car, they are elderly and careful and this shows in the van, its about 12yrs old but in very good condition, its a Rallye compasse 5.1 4 berth with the usual stuff, awning, shower, heatingv etc and looking for 1500,phone 02 98 99 67 25 ask speak to Harry.
  3. For our 3 week break we plan to take the dogs (as always) AND the cat, does anyone travel to and fro with a cat? do they settle in or do you keep them in the house permanently?
  4. I believe BF have a property owners card dedicated to those in France with a "holiday home" in UK but of course you must join in France.
  5. If you're keen on Citroen check out the 1954 Citroen traction avant on Ebay, item no 2473994693. I have no connection whatsoever with seller, just thought you might like it.
  6. There are often lhd cars on www.Ebay.co.uk (and French site too) and its best to enter left hand drive (in full) and lhd and l h d (with spaces) so that you get the full lists, at the moment there is a lhd Mercedes Gwagen (note spelling) on www.fish4cars.com which you may know is the ultimate off roader (much superior to landrover) but at a price, its 8k for a 1989 so unless you intend to do a lot of off road probably a bit OTT.
  7. You could fit a second hand "spec lift" (as used on breakdown trucks) often on Ebay for a few hundred quid.
  8. Hi Kira, Can you add a bit more info, are the radiators "radiator" shaped, with fins perhaps, is it an electric cable from the radiators to a plug for instance, is there any sign of a boiler elsewhere in the house, are they in all rooms, how do you turn them on and off. Rog
  9. You'd be in real trouble if he was using the tray to bang his armoured head and singing mule train, (you may be too young to remember) but otherwise sorry cann't help.
  10. I also live (sometimes) near Huelgoat and given the amount of timber around have you considered a woodburner, manage 2 bedrooms easily, you would need a vented system I guess (a la UK)
  11. If you were told by the seller/agent that that is what happened then so be it, however, a word of warning, this is exactly what an electrician would do if told to by EDF until a rewire is carried out for safety reasons, I hope the former applies to your house and I hope you are not put off but I thought I should mention it,good luck.
  12. Just vfor the record I "think" you mean an allen scythe in english, good luck
