  1. Everytime I look at this website I am amazed at how many people have"clicked " on to Albi's page.Thank you so much to all the lovely people that care about him. Albi is going from strength to strength and we are all amazed at how much energy he now has. He and Soda go over to the field and Albi loves to chase Soda when we throw her toy. Luckily Albi has learnt not to beat Soda and remembers Soda is boss!! They are now great friends! He comes to help me with the chickens and is fascinated by the rabbits!Everybody that visits just falls in love with him. We are so so luckily!! Chasse dogs CAN make great family pets!! Thanks once again to everyone that has taken an interest in Albi.It means alot.
  2. We are between Puivert and Belesta 11230. You can hug Soda and I'll give Albi a cuddle!
  3. Thank you to all those lovely people that keeping checking up on Albi. He went to the vets last week for all his jabs....so well behaved, once we got him out of the car. He absolutely loves chasing Soda round the field, and he has shown interest in playing with a ball. He really is a great addition to the family.Such a loving dog, We love him to bits!!
  4. Hi Rowan Paul has just asked have you got any pics of the Springer? Dont want to get your hopes up too much, I did push my luck with Albi!
  5. This is such great news. Well done to all, especially the very kind family who have taken all three lovely dogs. Really do hope you get as much as pleasure as we're getting from our rescue dog Albi.
  6. We are holding a charity event and would love to have a plant stall. Are there any budding gardeners out there who have plants that they would like to sell with 10% going to Help for Heroes and a donation to the French equivalent? The event is in Antugnac 11190 on sunday June 27th. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
  7. We can not believe we've only had Albi for 5 weeks. He has settled in really well and is an absolute joy to have around. He loves his four or five walks a day, is eating really well and loves cuddling up to Soda in the evening. He learnt very quickly that if he wanted a fuss or a doggy treat he had to sit.Now he heads straight for the doggy biscuit tin after his walks and sits..... He's learning fast!! If ever there is a loving, affectionate, happy to be alive dog, it's Albi!! It's Albi's 5th Birthday tomorrow so both he and Soda will be celebrating in some special way.
  8. Well done Rowan and all those involved in the Open Day! Really pleased all your hard work and comittment is paying off. Will continue to promote the SPA , although I think Albi is doing a better job than me!! Everyone says he's a lovely dog.....nearly even Soda! Well Done, glad your spirits have been lifted
  9. Well done Rowan, Merlin and to all the other volunteers who are working so hard to find homes for these vulnerable dogs. You're doing a great job!
  10. We briefly met you and Ozzy as you were leaving the SPA with him. Really glad to hear that he has settled in well. It really looks like he has fallen on his "paws"! So pleased for you all
  11. Yes SNOW!! We've had three inches of it since this morning!! The only thing that has made us smile about this silly white stuff, was taking Albi and soda for a walk or should I say run in it. Paul was very brave and let Albi off the lead. He absolutely loved it. And we smiled all the way home!
  12. For those out there who are interested in Albi's welfare, here's a quick update!! He has fitted in really well, full of fun and such a gentle dog. He is enjoying his walks more and more each day, not so sure of the snow though. His coat is lovely and shiny after having a lovely bath and a change of diet. As far as he and Soda are concerned, they are getting more tolerant of each other. As long as Albi leaves Soda's toys alone they should be ok! Training has kicked in and he"sat" on command for the first time today. If anyone does want to see photos please email and I will forward them on. Sorry cant work out the uploading on here!!
  13. That is brilliant news. It's good to know there are kind people out there! wishing the "new" family lots of happiness together.
  14. Hi Rowan I am desperately upset to hear this news. I would like to reinforce what you have said. Having rescued Albator (the one eyed spaniel) from the SPA last week, he has brought so much love and joy to our house and I would encourage anyone considering having a dog to go and visit the SPA. There are so many dogs there that deserve love and affection and would make great pets. They certainly dont deserve to be put down. Please someone give them a chance
  15. Yes I will definitely post some photos. Have been trying to get the dogs in the same place at the same time, but so far failed!! Thank you for your kind message, we will keep you posted of Albi's progress
