anyone out there for this nice couple?
Protegimus replied to Merlin's topic in Animal Welfare, Rescue & Protection
What about contacting the Phoenix Rescue, which is run by an English couple who rescue and rehome dogs, cats and other animals. They are based in the Dordoigne and might be able to take them or perhaps know of someone who might be willing to take them on. Don't know the telno but I think if you google it - it should come up. -

Just checked the anglo info Brittany site and no responses yet - no news is good news, so am keeping my fingers crossed for them. Can't take them myself as we have six very dominant, all male and very territorial dogs plus three cats! Any more, and I think my husband will divorce me. -

I have just copied the link onto a posting on anglo info brittany as there is a gentleman asking for a dog, due to his wife leaving him after 35 years and he wants a dog as a companion. Fingers crossed that he may be interested in both of them -

URGENT ORPHANED FOAL IN NEED OF NURSING MUM
Protegimus replied to Swissie's topic in Animal Welfare, Rescue & Protection
Don't know if this will help as I am a doggy person, but there was someone on either Anglo Info Normandie or Anglo Info Loire looking for a foal for a friend of hers as her foal had died at birth (I think). It might be worth checking out. Additionally why don't you post something on the gallopingfree website which is for horselovers. I am sure someone on there would be able to help. Jackie -
Unfortunately the posting on AI Normandie does not have a link to a photograph. If the owner adds one, I will attempt to download it. Please note that I am NOT the owner of this puppy - I read it on the anglo site and am hoping that by posting it on other forums, a home can be found. I am not associated in any way to the owner of this dog, I am only trying to help a dog in need. Jackie

Trying to give this posting as wide circulation as possible, having just read on Anglo Info Normandie of a 9 month old crossbreed puppy urgently seeking a new home, else owner will get him put down for being TOO BOISTEROUS! Apparently puppy has grown much bigger than parents, is too boisterous and son and his friends are now frightened of him. At the moment he is being chained up out of reach all day - poor little thing. How angry this makes me - the ignorance of people breeding crossbreeds, doing no training, and now because the puppy is proving to be boisterous - it's all too much! I have yet to hear of anyone putting down a child for being too boisterous - makes me sick! Please, please can anyone help this poor pup. It's not one of mine I hasten to add, nor do I know the person who has posted the ad and is obviously the owner of the dog. I am just trying to spread the word in the hope that some kind soul will take him and give him a loving home. Jackie

I have no further information. I posted this appeal on behalf of a lady who is urgently seeking a home for him. She has posted this appeal on anglo info Normandie and anglo info Loire, and I am just trying to help spread the qppeal. He is also posted on the Total France forum under pets or animals and I believe a picture of him is on there.

An eight year old blind Golden Retriever urgently seeking a new home due to his owner having passed away. He is good with other dogs, children etc. Has pet passport. Deceased owner's family will put him down if no home can be found. Please search your hearts and see if you have room and kindness to take him (Sammy) into your home and life.
