I agree with you.I should have explained my concerns a bit better I think.

    Police siege

Its not the inquiry, but the questions that were being asked about the use of tasers. What were the police supposed to do?It seems to me they are damned if they do and damned if they don't.
  3. I have been watching UK news about the siege.I cannot believe the police are to be investigated. Is it me?

    E121

I know this has been aired before. We are both covered until 1st Jan next year on the E106.Then we need to get 100% cover until Sept 2012 when I am 65 and my wife is 61.The thing is had my wife been able to get her state pension in June next year we would have been ok.My wife enquired about 100% Insurance, was told not a problem, about 3.5k euros.Insurance chap said because we have both paid enough contributions (43 & 39 yrs),we could get E121 early.Rang Newcastle, a definite NO. Has anybody experienced similar feedback/

  10. I went to a cavalcade in Guemene sur scorff yesterday afternoon.I have to say it was very impressive and very colourful. It was our first since arriving here. There were no police at all which I found strange, unlike the UK of course.I take it that all the carnivals here are equally impressive. We have a Medieval weekend in 5 days so its all happening here.

    New Potager

Welcome to France.I arrived last July. Before I left UK I made enquiries on this Forum and I received the same answer as you.As a result I purchased a 6x4ft greenhouse before I left and had it shipped over with the household furniture and a flat pack kitchen.
  19. The debate is on Glegg is holding his own.So is Dave. The one who STOLE ''my''pension is babbling as per usual.
  20. Thanks for the link. That is the one we have been trying. When applying for a postal vote etc,it asks for a post code which of course will be rejected.I may be having a senior moment, but I cannot fathom it out.
  21. Could anybody advise how you find the correct website to ask for information how you go about voting.
  22. Sorry about the pool.I meant a very small pool.Is it possible to buy small solar panel systems for heating in my case a small greenhouse? In the past I have used gas in late winter/early spring.Cost in UK was close to 100 pounds.
  23. Has anyone any info on the above.I have been told there are small wind turbines that will fix to the chimney and small solar systems that can up the temp in swimming pools by a couple of degrees. Are grants are available?Cheers.
  24. I cut down 28 Lyandi last year .Ok
