I believe it is to represent the various hats that are customary around the different regions of Brittany. Russethouse Posted September 27, 2012 Share Posted September 27, 2012 They seem to be a available in 'tourist' type shops, especially on motorways.....btw, they are not 'hats' as in chapeau, but coiffe.The girls might be known as petite Breton, or even bigoudene if they are from a particular region......hope that helps with your search.
