Kitty
I don't know why most UK winter flights to Bordeaux are stopped. I use the airport a lot and the flights always seem well used. It is so frustrating.
Anton Redman
They have been stopped because the operators believe they can keep their planes fuller and hence make more money by flying into ski resorts.
Kitty
I suppose that they are right. It's a nuisance. When we had winter flights into Bordeaux from Bristol, Birmingham and Southampton in 2004/2005, my husband used them every week. Ever since that winter, we have been scuppered, unless we travel from Luton.
Baz
Easyjet are still flying daily Luton to Bordeaux throughout the winter months.Baz
Cendrillon
B.A. fly daily (twice a day I believe) from Gatwick to Bordeaux. If you check their website for the "right" days to travel you can get some good deals. Train connections to Gatwick are good.
Kitty
Thanks. A pain going to London Luton or London Gatwick but needs must.... (By the way, since when has Luton been in London?) What marketing bloke thought that he could pull this one off?
