Unfortunately I will be on public transport, probably bus to Royan and then train to Santes. I am thinking of staying overnight in Bordeaux and coming back the next day.Does anyone know a quicker or less complicated route? Thanks
Cendrillon
Royan to Saintes by train might be the easiest way. Saintes to Bordeaux is very easy by train though the service is not too frequent. Perhaps there is a local bus route from St Georges de Didonne to Saintes. Your local tourist office may have timetables for buses and trains.
Pierre ZFP
Just for thehellofit I plugged your route into the Deutsche Bahn website and got this (brilliant website)http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en?ld=212.119&seqnr=4&ident=iz.017009119.1234961134&rt=1&rememberSortType=minDeparture&REQ0HafasScrollDir=2It looks like the 12:24 from Royan is your best bet!Bon voyage
leo
I totally agree with you Pierre the 12.24 is my best bet and the 20.04 departing from Bordeaux! I shall bookmark this site - only thought they dealt with trains in Germany. Thanks both for your replies.
